“Colin Duriez, tells the story of how these two brilliant authors met, discovered their common love for mythical tales, and pledged to bring such stories into the mainstream of public reading taste. Tolkien and Lewis shared the belief that through myth and legend—for centuries the mode many cultures had used to communicate their deepest truths.” – ChristianHistory.Net
Who are these two men, why do their works share similar themes, what are these themes and why have they sought to make them mainstream? What are the deepest truths they communicated?
JRR Tolkien, “The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like ‘religion’, to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism.” – Wikipedia
How is this work Catholic? The themes are the occult and pagan mythos? Oh wait the “Universal” Catholic religion is a blend of pagan religions with the Judeo-Christian Messiah story mixed in among other pagan myths gods and saints. I’ve been vexed by “Christians” embrace of JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis fictional works The Hobbit, The Lord Of The Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia, are rooted in Greco-Roman and Norse Religion. Dragons of old, Middle Earth, Witches, Magic, the all seeing eye, god’s and demi-gods from the pantheon, mystical powers, magic potions, talking trees, the ancient battle for middle earth (or midgard), alchemy, sorcery, occult overtones, esoteric (hidden messages), nature loving enchantment, Elves, Hobbits, Dwarfs and host of other Norse-Atlantean-Mythra-Freemason based mythology. If you don’t understand the universal religion of Catholicism as pagan couched amongst Latinized Christian terminology then you might miss this isn’t actually a true “Christian” work but a universal mystical and metaphysical tale of neo-paganism. Tolkien found solace in the Consolation of Philosophy that pervaded Europe during the Medieval times. I’ve seen the pagan influence and structure of their writings and not been able to discern and biblical story or foundation at all. Not even in the stories of Narnia and the god Aslan, who fights a white witch and is raised by deep magic, there is no way this telling of the story is a depiction of the biblical death and resurrection of Yeshua. I was reading a witches testimony how these stories got her involved in the Occult and how Aslan was a god that she worshiped and believed gave her magic power. Wow there is no way that a story that can inspire witches to do witchcraft and believe their magical powers come from is in any way “Christian.” Upon doing research I found the authors to be psuedo-Christians who were initiates into the fraternal organization of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and where proponents of Norse, Greco-Roman and Egyptian Religion. When reading someone’s materials that may be controversial or revolutionary its important to know what they believe so you know the true message they are trying to convey. Even if the works are deemed fictional many times the works are based in real science and historical religious practices, the deception in titling it “mythopoetic” or “science fiction” is that they get to hide the true meaning and intent in calling it fiction or myth. Just like calling a publicly documented Kabul (or secret fraternity) doing dastardly deeds a “Conspiracy Theory” by there proponents to dissuade taking the accusations or fact findings seriously. As Dan Rather said when supported by facts a Conspiracy is no longer Theory.
The Inkling Agenda
“Early in their relationship, in 1936, after Tolkien had written the children’s story The Hobbit, the two men had a momentous conversation about their desire to bring such stories to a wider audience.” – ChristianHistory.Net
What is this message they wanted to share with a wider audience? The works of science fiction the Chronicles of Narnia and the Lord of The Rings are recommended reading for and by many witches, wiccans and the authors of Dungeons and Dragons. JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis books can be found in occult bookstores. Why is this? Because they propagate and promote things they believe and practice to this day. Charles William, was one of the other Inklings who taught CS Lewis what they called “white witchcraft,” one of the things they practiced was taking the sickness of a person and transferring it upon and afflicting themselves. Somehow that was believed to heal the person. It sounds strange to me. God doesn’t require us to suffer so someone else can heal. Yeshua already suffered and took our pain, suffering and sickness upon himself. We need no other mediator between God and man, we need no other healer than Yeshua. It is interesting that Aslan the god Lion of Narnia is similar in name to the Freemason god Asalaam. Its is also interesting that one of the first characters that you meet in the Wardrobe is Pan in the form of Fon, a half horse half man, who is indeed the Greek god pan. JRR Tolkien referred to the Beowulf myth and ancient Norse mythology. How is this passed of to have hidden Christian meanings when its clear the messages are occultic and passed in satanic ideologies that oppose God and His word. Yeshua wasn’t raised by deep magic but by the power of the Living God, which is no myth and not magic, but the hand of the True and Living God. The chief priest of Tolkien mythology is a wizard who used spell craft, and a magical staff of power, as we see in many witch tales the “magic stick.” The stories of Narnia and the Hobbit, are a perfect fit for Harry Potter and Beowulf, which have come to light around the same time in modern cinema. As the Illuminati agenda to increase interest in witch craft and to control through media and entertain spirits of fear through their many forms of occult ideology presented in artistic form. The devil is nothing if not creative, he is inventive and resourceful in trying to trap and ensnare our youth.
Who Are The Inklings
“His love of myths and his devout faith came together in his assertion that he believed that mythology is the divine echo of “the Truth”. This view was expressed in his poem Mythopoeia, and his idea that myths held “fundamental truths” became a central theme of the Inklings in general.” – Wikipedia
What is the divine echo of “the Truth” in ancient myths that he has such a devout faith in? What are the ideas and myths that, JRR Tolkien holds as “fundamental truths?” The Inklings where a group of Oxford influence Fraternal Illuminati’s who believed in the ideas and principles and sought to dispel them through literature with encoded messages.
“The Inklings are a Fraternal Order of Learned Men who enjoyed comraderie and conversation and gave readings of works in progress.” – The Inklings Handbook
Some of the members of The Inklings where of course JRR “Tollers” Tolkien, CS “Jack” Lewis, Christopher Tolkien (JRR Tolkien’s son), Warren “Warnie” Lewis (CS Lewis’s elder brother), and other notable authors of the group. They all shared in interest in Mystical Christian teachings and Hermetic Kabala, where initiates to the Order of the Golden Dawn, the studied and believed in Norse, Greco-Roman and Egyptian Mythology. They sought and desired to bring that to the mainstream.. They believed these pagan myths and religions where part of our spiritual shared knowledge and ancestry Its interesting that they are said to have “Christian” values, its important to note that its Mystical Rosicrucianism, Belief in the Rose Cross and the Magic Kabalist ideals, is not truly Christian as believers in the bible and Yeshua who disagree with the magic works and teaching. They were more neo-pagans believing in Norse mythology, the use of mystical Ruin inscriptions to invoke magical incantations and pagan mythologist, which is not Christian at all. If only the stories where just fiction and fantasy and not based in real religions of the ancient world and influence by both authors belief in the fantasies as reality.
“Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, Lewis’s Out of the Silent Planet, and William’s All Hallows’ Eve were among the novels first read to the Inklings.” – Wikipedia
Its interesting that the topics and content, where about ancient mythology, space travel and time travel, which are congruent with a belief in Norse Mythology, in which their where nine worlds and scientific theory of time and space travel through wormholes that fall within these Atlantean based myths. These ideas are part of a consortium of ideas that share religious and central ideas in “science fiction” that’s based in real science and religion written in mythical fashion. Encoded in their tales are the true beliefs of these scientist and mythical religious ideals.
The Connection To The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
“The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was a amalgamation of Freemasonry (Babylonian mystery religions), Theosophy (An Satanic/occult religious philosophy combined with metaphysics, started by a high level witch named H. P. Blavatsky), Eliphas Levi’s Teachings (A high level black magic occultist), Enochian Magic (an elaborate system of advanced, Satanic, ceremonial magic), The Kabbalah (A highest level of Jewish witchcraft) and medieval grimoire (a manual of black magic for invoking spirits and demons). Regarding the Order of the Golden Dawn, among its first initiates was a coroner who allegedly performed necromantic rites, while another early member was black magician Aleister Crowley.” – J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, The Inklings, Narnia & the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
Both Tolkien and Lewis are members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, what is this order and why is its message central to the “mythic” and “fictional” books they sought to bring to the masses? The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was a magical, Masonic and deeply occult order influenced by the Hermetic Kabala, Christian mysticism, the religion of Ancient Egypt, Magic, astrology, Theosophy, occult tarot, geomancy, and alchemy. The Order even built temples to Osiris, Horus, Amen-Ra and Ahathoor of Ancient Egyptian Mythology. The three founders were Freemasons and members of Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia. The Rose-Cross or Rosicrucians are a mystical order of medieval Kabala, witchcraft and magic.
“The concepts of magic and ritual at the center of contemporary traditions, such as Wicca and Thelema, were inspired by the Golden Dawn.” – Wikipedia
The Golden Dawn system was based on hierarchy and initiation like the Masonic Lodges, which they claim is not a Masonic order, but a Society of Freemasons, which appears to be a Gnostic order of “Christian” Masonic ideals. The qualification for membership is to be a Master Mason and a Christian, which isn’t truly possible, you can’t be both. Its part of their guise of clock and dagger, pretend to be one thing, while in fact they are the opposite.
“Each of the First Order ceremonies covers a specific aspect of esoteric study and marks a specific stage in the personal development of the Frater (Brother).” – Illuminati News
Could this Frater be the Froto of the Lord of The Rings Tale, Froto a Hobbit of the brotherhood of man? Much of the hierarchical structure for the Golden dawn came from the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia.
“The Society encourages study of all arcane and esoteric subjects, but from a theoretical rather than a practical standpoint. Time is devoted to the presentation of papers and members are exhorted to write and present papers. These may be on any non-Masonic subject, but examples might include:…astrology, astronomy, alchemy, theosophy…and especially the Kabbalah.” – Illuminati News
Astrology, Astronomy, Alchemy, Theosophy and Kabala are central to the Rose Cross order. Aleister Crowley who is a known occultist whose writings are the foundation of the satanic church in America, is another member of note of the Order of the Golden Dawn. Here is a breakdown of the three orders within the Order of the Golden Dawn:
“The First Order taught esoteric philosophy based on the Hermetic Qabalah and personal development through study and awareness of the four Classical Elements as well as the basics of astrology, tarot divination, and geomancy. The Second or “Inner” Order, the Rosae Rubeae et Aureae Crucis (the Ruby Rose and Cross of Gold), taught proper magic, including scrying, astral travel, and alchemy. The Third Order was that of the “Secret Chiefs”, who were said to be highly skilled but no longer incarnate; they supposedly directed the activities of the lower two orders by spirit communication with the Chiefs of the Second Order.” – Wikipedia
The agenda and teachings of this group is contrary to that of the Bible and true Christianity. One can not be a Christian and Occultist even if they call themselves a Christian Order of Metaphysics. The ideas that fueled JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis are anti-Christ ideas founded in pagan mystery religion. This is what we must know and tell others. Just as the Star Wars Trilogy and their follow up trilogy are based in the pagan idea of a Universal Force and spiritual Warriors who seek oneness with themselves and the universe as they war with those who believe not as they do. What is the idea that these share in common and want to bring to the masses, its magical and mystical powers brought not by the hand of God, but tricks and magic at mans hand by mythology, mystery and hermetic kabala. I don’t know how mystical kabala and pagan mythology can tell a tale of Christianity that is anti-kabala and against pagan religion. God commands us to have nothing to do with sorcery, magicians, necromancers or any other form of mysticism and magic.
Ancient Myth-ology (a discourse on Mithra)
“A myth is a sacred narrative explaining how the world and humankind came to be in their present form.” – Wikipedia
A myth is an ancient religion studied and discussed now as if it was a story by JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis when they are actual religions. That’s the trick that these two author sought to create and capitalize on. The authors of Harry Potter and Dungeons and Dragons have found this same method to export the same inspiration and message to the masses. The dragons that JRR Tolkien, D&D and others idealize may have indeed been the fallen angels and the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden including what we may know dinosaurs (which are more like birds than reptiles). Archeologist and genealogist believe that two other types of Hominids other than Homo-sapien have existed, one they’ve called the “hobbit” due to their small size and another more close to our stature. So the stories in Norse tradition that these beings where called Hobbits (primitive man) and Elve’s (fallen angels) that where picked up by author JRR Tolkien, are based in real pagan religion and believe. JRR Tolkien even uses the language of the Norse and their Ruin inscription as a foundation for his writing about the ancient gods. Tolkien changed the names and characters around, but he kept elements of midgard, middle earth as part of this Norse belief in the Pre-Atumic world or the world of Atlantis.
JRR Tokliens Characters And Their Secret Meanings
“Tolkien was much inspired by early Germanic, especially Anglo-Saxon literature, poetry, and mythology, which were his chosen and much-loved areas of expertise. These sources of inspiration included Anglo-Saxon literature such as Beowulf, Norse sagas such as the Volsunga saga and the Hervarar saga, the Poetic Edda, the Prose Edda, the Nibelungenlied, and numerous other culturally related works… Tolkien did also acknowledge several non-Germanic influences or sources for some of his stories and ideas, including Homer, Sophocles, and the Finnish and Karelian national epic, the Kalevala… The Lord of the Rings, include philology, mythology, religion and the author’s distaste for the effects of industrialization,” – Wikipedia
“They studied and taught the literatures of medieval romance and, in Tolkien’s case, the background of Norse myth.” – ChristianHistory.Net
The overall story and meanings can be found in the collected work “The Silmarillion” compiled the Tolkien’s son post-humously. This work seems to be written in light of the Sumerian creation myths and to be influenced by The Kalevala, the Ring Cycle of the Niebulung, Beowulf, ancient Celtic, Norse, Germanic and Finnish myth. The earth is called Aru which is reflective of the Sumerean Anu. In the first part of the creation music is a central theme, as Lucifer, has tumbrels’ in his inward being and may have been a leader of worship to Yahweh, this twist on God and creation, this occult obscuring switching God for the devil is a very occult practice. The first created beings where the ancient eternal spirits or demiurges, who where the offspring of thought or Gnosticism, the great power of knowledge or enlightenment is central to this first part of Tolkien’s creation. These demiurges have power of the elements as the “lesser gods” of Sumerian myth. Many ancients (demons disguised as angels) descended to earth in this very Theosophical tale. The ancient descendents to earth, where there to prepare earth for elves and men. The first age includes the tragic tail of Silmarils (the three Jewels) whose name is similar to the Queen of Babylon Semiramis, if you replace the M’s with L’s the name is almost identical. Occultist use twist and obscure distortions on the names of their deities to disguise their true beliefs. Sauron is the man antagonist which is emblematic of an occult obscurity of Lucifer. The world was prepared for elves and men. Middle earth or the Norse Midgard, was where Aman a place that one of the characters was sent, which was illuminated by Two Trees. The stars began to shine as the Elve’s awoke. The Elve’s where invited to move to Aman. The Two Tree’s is a occult twist on the two tree’s in the garden. The Tree’s where destroyed, the jewels where stolen and the moon and sun where created which caused the awakening of me. There was a great battle between an army of Elves, Dwarves and men, against the Noldor. The hearts of many men were darkened, leaving the Elvish host defeated by the treachery of some men. Men who remained loyal to the Elve’s where honored thereafter. There are many tales and stories during this first of the three ages. The end of the first age includes the sinking of the fortress Angband. There were descendent of the immortal Elve’s and man. Elve’s in this tale may be a obscurity of the fallen angels who mated with the daughters of men. The second age includes battle between, high elves, the loyal men and The Valar and Dunedain. The Dunedain where given wisdom and power and where stronger than other men, who where close in power to the High-Elves of Aman. The Numenoreans saught immortality and fought the Elve’s of the west. Ar-Pharazon (a word sound like a word play on the title Pharoah) his fleet was destroyed by Illuvatar and drowned. Illuvatar then created a great wave as never before seen which utterly destroyed the Isle, killed the Dunedain and changes the shape of all the lands of middle earth. This destruction of Numenor was inspired by the legend of Atlantis. Then comes the third age of the Rings of Power. This is the age we know well of with the characters taken on different roles in the Order of the Golden Dawn and their ideologies, such as; aspirant Frodo of the fraternal brotherhoods, Gandalf hermetic cabalist, Saruman & Sauron could possible be Lucifer and his agents, The Ring represent Magic powers, Moriah is a name the Illuminati use for themselves, King Theoden of Rohan the-Oden or Theodism, the Orcs may have been alien Grays created by the fallen angels and the Ring Wraiths may have represented initiates into the black brotherhood of the illuminati. Tolkien himself says that Numenor is his twist on the Atlantis myth and tradition, based on a reoccurring dream he had about Atlantis. Did Aragons crown bear the mark of the Egyptian Scarab or Winged Disc? The symbology of Freemasons can be found on the doors to the dwarf caverns of Moria that have the seven stars of the zodiac between to Masonic pillars, that are part of the Royal Arch of Freemasons and the Rosicrucian Crown of Seven Stars. Did the two pillar represent Masonic pillars, the two trees, sun and moon or the lams of Valar? Tolkien said the writing just came to him, that they wrote themselves, that even the Hobbit was no a conscious but unconscious creation more by chance than purpose. It seems that Tolkien did tap into the dark archetypes of the primordial world that Jungian talked about. Basically Tolkien found a way to tap into and channel the disembodied spirits of fallen angels that told him stories of Atlantis and ancient myth he found to be common and similar to the themes of his writings. Most Freemasons claim to be Christian, at least mystical Christians, which are not true Christians but believe themselves to be. The Gnostic principles of hermetic kabala are not Christian ideas yet they are central to Tolkien and Lewis tales. When you look at things in this light that may change how you perceive the fictional works with obscured and occultist meanings based in esoteric symbolism.
How Did Tolkiens Norse/Thule-Centric Ideas Conflict With That Of Hitlers Thule Centric Aryan Race of Supermen?
“.. that ruddy little ignoramus Adolf Hitler … Ruining, perverting, misapplying, and making for ever accursed, that noble northern spirit, a supreme contribution to Europe, which I have ever loved, and tried to present in its true light. Nowhere, incidentally, was it nobler than in England,” – Wikipedia
The Norse mythology of ancient supermen who lived in Thule form Atlantis was a strong theme in Nazi mysticism, this followed the themes also found in the Lord of the Rings. JRR Tolkien a English man who served in the English military, through he was a proud advocate of Anglo-Saxon ideas and ideals, he was very anti-Nazi and Germany. Though his name was Germanic he wrote many a letter to his son expressing his disdain for Hitler and the Nazi distortion of the Norse and Thule ancestry. Though they lived at the same time and shared some Norse mythology and ideals, the two were opposites in the extremes the view of Anglo-Saxon mythos.
What Is The Norse Mythos?
“The Blót, the form of worship practiced by the ancient Germanic and Scandinavian people, resembled that of the Celts and Balts. It occurred either in sacred groves, at home, or at a simple altar of piled stones known as a “horgr.” – Wikipedia
“While a kind of priesthood seems to have existed, it never took on the professional and semi-hereditary character of the Celtic druidical class. This was because the shamanistic tradition was maintained by women, the Völvas. It is often said that the Germanic kingship evolved out of a priestly office. This priestly role of the king was in line with the general role of gothi, who was the head of a kindred group of families (for this social structure, see norse clans), and who administered the sacrifices.”- Wikipedia
“A unique eye-witness account of Germanic human sacrifice survives in Ibn Fadlan’s account of a Rus ship burial, where a slave-girl had volunteered to accompany her lord to the next world… Current understanding of Norse mythology suggests an ulterior motive to the slave-girl’s ‘sacrifice’… Odin was associated with death by hanging, and a possible practice of Odinic sacrifice by strangling has some archeological support in the existence of bodies such as Tollund Man that perfectly preserved by the acid of the Jutland peatbogs, into which they were cast after having been strangled… Snorri introduces Odin as a mortal warlord in Asia who acquires magical powers, settles in Sweden, and becomes a demi-god following his death. Having undercut Odin’s divinity, Snorri then provides the story of a pact of Swedish King Aun with Odin to prolong his life by sacrificing his sons. Later in the Heimskringla, Snorri records in detail how converts to Christianity such as Saint Olaf Haraldsson brutally converted Scandinavians to Christianity… One of them says may Thor receive you, may Odin own you, and a second one is a galdra which says I carve curing runes, I carve salvaging runes, once against the elves, twice against the trolls, thrice against the thurs. The second one also mentions the dangerous Valkyrie Skögul. Another contrast in Norse beliefs is the Gimle, the supposed “high heaven, which is thought to be a Christian addition to Norse mythology, and the Ragnarokk, the “fate” of Æsir gods. This seems to be a Christian addition to the native mythology, since it ends the “reign” of the Æsir gods… “- Wikipedia
“Romanticist interest in the Old North gave rise to Germanic mysticism involving various schemes of occultist “Runology”… Since the 1970s, there have been revivals of the old Germanic religion as Germanic Neopaganism (Ásatrú) in both Europe and the United States… Subsequently, J. R. R. Tolkien’s writings, especially The Silmarillion, were heavily influenced by the indigenous beliefs of the pre-Christian Northern Europeans. As his related novel The Lord of the Rings became popular, elements of its fantasy world moved steadily into popular perceptions of the fantasy genre. In many fantasy novels today can be found such Norse creatures as elves, dwarves, and frost jötnar. Subsequently, Norse mythology has also greatly influenced popular culture, in literature and modern fiction. (See Marvel Comics’ The Mighty Thor or Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman (Vertigo) also Neil Gaiman’s novel American Gods)… Norse mythology is a recurring theme in heavy metal lyrics… Many video games, especially RPG and strategies, are based on or inspired by Norse mythology, and feature certain elements of it.”- Wikipedia
What Was CS Lewis’s Mere Christianity?
“Tolkien’s devout Catholic faith was a significant factor in the conversion of C. S. Lewis from atheism to Christianity, although Tolkien was dismayed that Lewis chose to join the Church of England.” – Wikipedia.
Lewis had been baptized in the Church of Ireland at birth, a very ordinary layman of the Church of England. He fell away from faith and became an atheist he later came back to the faith through Tolkien’s prompting. He came back to the Anglican branch of European Reformed Catholicism. Does that make him Christian or Catholic? Is their faith truly Christian? What does the stories they tell, tell about their true belief? If you look at their initiation into the Order of the Golden Dawn you see their belief in metaphysical and mystical Rosicrucianism is the central theme of their “faith.” Was CS Lewis a Christian at all?
What Shaped CS Lewis Narnia?
“As a teenager, he was wonderstruck by the songs and legends of what he called Northernness, the ancient literature of Scandinavia preserved in the Icelandic sagas. These legends intensified an inner longing he later called “joy”. He also grew to love nature; its beauty reminded him of the stories of the North, and the stories of the North reminded him of the beauties of nature. His teenage writings moved away from the tales of Boxen, and he began using different art forms (epic poetry and opera) to try to capture his new-found interest in Norse mythology and the natural world. Studying with Kirkpatrick (“The Great Knock”, as Lewis afterwards called him) instilled in him a love of Greek literature and mythology and sharpened his skills in debate and sound reasoning. In 1916,”
Is CS Lewis Fon, the man with a horse body, the god pan of Greece or the Norse tradition of Forn Sior, or a combination of the two. The lion in ancient Egyptology is symbolic of Horus the namesake which we get Horoscope from and the unfinished pyramid with the all seeing eye on the back of the dollar bill. The Freemasons picked up on the Egyptian theme’s as influence from the Babylonian Mystery religion and use images of Lions as major themes in the iconography. So why would CS Lewis an initiated Freemason choose a god modeled after the Egyptian god Horus? Well, if we tie the connection to the Inklings and the Order of the Golden Dawn, then the ideas a harmonious.
“The fauna of the series borrows from both Greek mythology and Germanic mythology. For example, centaurs originated in Greek myth, and dwarfs have origins in Germanic myth… Lewis had also read widely in medieval Celtic literature, an influence reflected throughout the books, most strongly in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader… Lewis was known to have an interest in the literary symbolism of medieval and Renaissance astrology… Lewis has also received criticism from some Christians and Christian organizations who feel that The Chronicles of Narnia promotes “soft-sell paganism and occultism”, because of the recurring pagan themes and the supposedly heretical depictions of Christ as an anthropomorphic lion. The Greek god Dionysus and the Maenads are depicted in a positive light (with the caveat that meeting them without Aslan around would not be safe), although they are generally considered distinctly pagan motifs. Even an animistic “River god” is portrayed in a positive light… Lewis himself believed that pagan mythology could act as a preparation for Christianity .. first to make people good pagans, and after that to make them Christians.” Wikipedia
You can’t bring gods of Greece, Rome, Egypt or Norse into your story and call it Christian. You can’t make a good pagan a good Christian unless you embrace “pagan Christianity.” It is not Christian. In the true since of the word Christ-Like it would mean that you reflect Jesus Christ of whom scripture records. Nothing of the likeness of the scriptural Jesus can be found. JRR Tolkien was dismayed at CS Lewis attempt to make his story and iconology as more Christian. Tolkien said that Lewis should leave theology and discourse on religion to professional theologians which neither of them was, they were Oxford literary scholars. We can see where in the story of witches, deep magic, Aslans Magic, talking animals, a Magicians Nephew, magic rings, and lion-gods, that Lewis needed a better “Christian” foundation before writing so called “Christian” stories. I don’t know why during the English Renaissaince so called Christians could write mythical tales of pagan gods and there works be deemed Christian.
CS Lewis, “Some people seem to think that I began by asking myself how I could say something about Christianity to children; then fixed on the fairy tale as an instrument, then collected information about child psychology and decided what age group I’d write for; then drew up a list of basic Christian truths and hammered out ‘allegories’ to embody them. This is all pure moonshine. I couldn’t write in that way. It all began with images; a faun carrying an umbrella, a queen on a sledge, a magnificent lion. At first there wasn’t anything Christian about them.” – Wikipedia
CS Lewis maintained the books were not allegory. A faun carrying an umbrella, a queen witch on a sled and a lion-god, how are these images Christian. I find NONE of them in the bible, period.
CS Lewis, “Since Narnia is a world of Talking Beasts, I thought He [Christ] would become a Talking Beast there, as He became a man here.” – Wikipedia
A talking beast? That’s great! There’s a talking beast in the bible in Revelation, but he’s not the good guy. I’m sorry but upon reading and reflecting I can’t agree that Narnia is anyway Christian. I did listen to the whole series on audio and I never received an Christian or spiritual inspiration. I have to say the hermetic mysticism that Lewis and Tolkien believed in shined through more than any Christ-mythos. I honestly don’t know how making good pagans make good Christians. I’m lost on that note. Honestly we need to leave paganism but if your in a branch of metaphysical Rosicrucian’s then you may believe good pagan make good Christians and vice versa. Wow. I’m sorry but upon reading, studying and reflecting, I can not endorse anything in the world of Narnia or Middle-Earth as Christ. I would recommend against showing the movies to your children and against to letting them read the books, they are as dangerous as Harry Potter, Beowulf and The Golden Compass. Please, people be aware of what is in the world and don’t let it get in you. If you have let it in, get it out. I used to have the original Star Wars Trilogy and God told me to throw it out. I didn’t understand at the time. Now I do. I’m glad I did. I’m glad to be free of pagan Christianity. Please people come out of Babylon. Don’t love pagan entertainment and embrace its teaching tools aimed to make “good pagans” as something you offer your kids.
In love and shalom,
Jeramiah “para-DOX” Giehl

Mate, why don’t you grow up and do some real work for Our Lord like opposing the worldwide culture of death?
People like you leave all the hard work to Catholics and then sit back and condemn us. But remember the words of St James – “faith without works is dead.”
When your ‘church’ produces saints of the calibre of those found in Catholicism right back to the Apostles and martyrs then you might have a reason to boast. Until that time comes just remember – “empty vessels make the most noise.”
What! Really? This website and my writtings are about opposing and exposing the Pagan influences that are based in a Masonic Religion of death, including Mithraism, Platonianism, Magic and Hermetic Mystical Qabala. Funny you say do that (oppose the worldwide culture of death) I will continue to do that. I do.
I do the hard work that Catholic and Protestants don’t. So I don’t know what your talking about.
I follow Yeshua, Paul the Apostle and earlier believers like Tertulian and others who predate the creation of the “Catholic Church.”
Are you speaking of the Roman Catholic Church that was created between 800-1000 when Orthodox Catholicism split with the Eastern Orthodox? or Orthodoxy that was born at the in the mid 300′s by the Nicene Council and Constantine. All your church fathers are Roman, Mithra worshippers.
I follow Yeshua, the biblical traditions laid out by the Jewish people (that predates pagan catholicism) and the Hebraic foundations of the bible that predate the Catholic psuedo-pagan religion.
Yeshua a Jew, who fulfilled all of Torah, is my example and Paul a Pharisee who was an observant albeit “Messianic” Jew is the Apostle of the religion and I follow the Halacha (practice) laid out in the bible as it is and the biblical festivals. I observe Passover, Shavuot-Pentecost, Sukkot, Chanukah, etcetera… you can find those in the bible you can’t find worship Ashera, praying to the queen of heaven or mother earth in the bible, you can’t find praying to dead people in the bible. I pray to the Father, through my High Priest Yeshua’s name. I don’t pray to Mary or any other Virgin or “saint.” I have a relationship with Adonai not with the demon’s He cast out of heaven.
So I don’t know what your speaking about however you must not have took time to find what I believe before you made a false accusation. I suggest you time a little time to familiiarize yourself with things I’ve been teaching here, check into the topics on Hebraic Roots, Messianic Judaism, The Biblical Festivals, The Tabernacle, etcetera… you will find some useful information that the Catechism leaves out.
I am filled with the Ruach HaKodesh and observe biblical traditions, this vessel isn’t empty I do the works of the L-rd. The traditions I follow don’t come from the worship of Hermes or Osirus. I know that I served the G-d of the bible not some fictional god of a pantheon of deities who are fallen demons-angels who are worshipped as gods. I do not follow the Oral Traditions of the Catholic or Coptic Orthodox Churches and I am not stuck on the Oral Traditions of Judaism. I do find the Oral Traditions of Judaism help me to rightfully understand the Judaism of the bible. I find the period of Middle Judaism between 300 BCE and 200 CE to be the most significant with the birth of the Messianic movement and Second Temple Judaism as it existed at the time of Yeshua. You should do some study into that period. There are many scholarly works on Second Temple Judaism and some on Middle Judaism that will give you a solid grasps of biblical Judaism and Messianic Judaism as exemplified in Yeshua, Paul and the early “Church.”
The truth shall set you free. Catholicism is blended between Mithraism, Platonianism, Greco-Roman, Egyptian and Babylonian mystery religions with a sprinkling of bad distorted out or context scriptures and biblical phrases changed to suit a false religion.
The Buddhist priest and Catholic priest share much in common their ascetic life, celebacy, prayers, practice, etcetera… I serve the true G-d not the image of a false demon. You should study out the history of Catholicism and look at the chagnes they made and the religion you follow. There is no co-mediatrix with G-d, only Yeshua mediates.
I follow Yeshua of the bible, not Hermes or Osiris of a false religion. You should watch “Zeitgiest” it shows the truth about you religion. The G-d of the bible has nothing to do with the “Harlot of Babylon.”
I hear what your saying PhilM . Jesus told us this world is in the hands of the wicked one, the wicked one is hell bent on death and destruction of the children of God and that will not stop until Jesus comes again, hence why evangelizing the lost is so important because an end of the wicked one is coming and those not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will go with him to hell, and your right in saying let us keep doing good and bringing heaven down on earth where we can, even the Lord’s prayer tell us to do just that. I was born and raised in the Catholic Church but when I left and did my own search through the Bible I learnt so much more and am still learning. The Bible does tell us to check the scriptures and test every spirit. The wicked one has control of our food, medical, the whole world, and he can get into our church buildings too, so it is wise to be on your guard and check the scriptures for yourself. God wants us to become like His Son Jesus, holy, spotless and without blemish. It is an ongoing walk. We are the Church, it is no longer made of bricks and mortar like ancient days, but the fellowship of Christians gathering together regularly is vital for the battle we face, as the wicked one goes about like a roaring lion to see who he can devour. The writer of this blog has valid truth and it comes not from religion but relationship with Jesus through the understanding and truth of the Bible, I share his views because it is based on the Bible. I will give you an example of what God dealt with me personally last year. I came across in the Bible said by God not to make graven images of anything He
created on the land, under the sea or in the air. I was convicted and looked around my house and saw
how many of these objects/ornaments I had – we call it home decorations. I got rid of them. I did it out of obedience to His Word and because I love Him and I want to know what He wants for me, I now only put God’s real life flowers in my house from my garden, no more fake flowers and I love telling people My Father made those. I cannot tell you to do that, but that is the work of the Holy Spirit and the Bible for what is going on in my life, God is making us holy. PhilM keep the faith in the Lord Jesus andt lean more on the scriptures for food and the working of the Holy Spirit. God knows our works, whether they be good or bad because He sees our hearts. Some Christians do good works because they love the praise but when we are born again of the Spirit of the Lord, to do good is just a normal way to live because we have come out from the wicked ones influence and we are alive to Christ and His way, truth and life. I have stood in the presence of God and believe me we have all fallen shor t of the Glory of God, He is so loving, humble, gentle and holy beyond words, I felt like a filthy rag in the sight of God, our so called good just doesn’t cut it. I thank God you believe too, we are on this narrow path together and must encourage each other in the task God sets before each one of us, that being different parts of the work. I would think the blog writer is being used to keep the saints (saints means all of us that believe not someone who did great works – although their works will be rewarded in heaven) from falling into the traps of the wicked one who gets into any means he can, as we are told we do not fight against flesh and blood (that’s us) but the principalities in high places and in the air. We all have different roles to play for the Lord, if yours is works than do it unto the Lord, if the writer of this blog is teaching/warning then he must do it. God is wonderful and we are so blessed to receive and believe in the Gospel of Jesus, as so many are still blinded by the wicked one, and Jesus didn’t just die for our sins but He paid the price for us to become holy and perfect children of God, as He wants to present us to the Father one day. I love you PhilM in the name of Jesus, we are brother and sister, we belong to the family of God. Keep doing good until Jesus returns.
Lissa, thank you for your response. Amen, full of love and compassion. Thank you.
Paradox; I do understand that Lewis’ thinking was influenced by occultism but I don’t think that CS Lewis was trying to promote the PRACTICE of occultism. He was trying to shift people’s thinking into a non-materialistic paradigm -and that is incredible hard today considering our prevailing materialist paradigm. And you have to believe in the supernatural to be a Christian.
Now as for magic, Hermeticism, Kabbalah etc. yes we should not be practicing this. However how do you suppose the supernatural world works? We all agree that God can do miracles but HOW? Unless people have a way to conceive of all of this stuff they will think it is nonsense -something can’t exist without a reason.
Although we should not practice it there may be something to what is going on with occultism especially in light of the “new physics” along with Jungian or “depth psychology.” This creates an alternate paradigm to rationally conceive of the world without matter. Now should we be using this knowledge for actual effect? No, the Bible forbids it. Though just because CS Lewis and Tolkien provide a comprehensive supernaturalistic world in their fantasy books doesn’t mean the knowledge that this stuff exists and works is itself wrong.
And BTW comparative mythology taken with Jungian metaphysics provides a very powerful argument for Jesus divinity. Kukulkan for example is on the list of “sun-god” myths that are similar to Jesus. The catch is that this myth appeared over in South America which only contacted the east in the last 500 years or so. So how did it get there? It sounds to me whatever caused it can only be explained supernaturally and not by standard naturalistic assumptions that would say it was only cultural transmission.
If God would manifest what would he look like? Comparative mythology gives us a strong idea. Oddly what we come up with looks an awful lot like Jesus -except later we discovered that Jesus actually existed in history. Either this was an extremely bizarre coincidence or Jesus is really God.
See you lose access to good arguments like that when you do this.
Yes
Which is the problem that I point out and show the problem with.
Ok? I provided quotes from CS Lewis, & Tolkien themselves and biographers who wrote favorably about them. That stated the intended to present the sacred mythologies and promote them. Whether they intended to or not their works do promote the practice of Occultism. Read the original blog and check the sources.
CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien where Rosicrucian and part of the Order of the Golden Dawn. CS Lewis said I want to first make people pagan and then Christian because pagans make better christians. That is a very wrong statement in and of itself. Very problematic.
On this blog many time I deal with the pagan destructive influence on true Christianity, comparative mythology-religion and expose the false while shining light on the true.
As for what you want to think that’s up to you. I have proven what Tolkien and Lewis stated they intended to promote the ancient mythologies and to bring them to the mainstream and I chronicled how its done exactly that. Even if they didn’t intend to promote the occult that have done so much and so well that is why many occult stores carry both works.
You sound like a proponent of the Venus Project & Zeitgeist movement which I’ve also dealt with here on this blog. The things I’ve exposed and shown true light on throughout this blog. Resource based society is no better that material possessions or money, he who controls the money and resources seeks to control people. The godless dystopia of that movement is heartless and painful to see. It was a performance piece taken as fact that is biased and flawed.
You do not have to believe in the supernatural to be Christian despite your assertion. Though believers should believe in and experience miracles. Many denominations deny the gifts of the spirit and working of miracles. They that believe shall have signs, wonders and miracles following them states scriptures. I believe in the gifts of healing, tongues, prophecy and miracles. I’ve seen people born crippled walk through faith in Yeshua alone without magic, sorcery, alchemy, astrology, herbology or numerology. Given I was doing missions in another country. Americans are too intellectual to experience real miracles for the most part. Most deny it and rationalize it away. If you don’t believe it won’t happen. True miracles are not the conjuring of magicians or charlatans but wrought the hand of God.
True and that’s my point Narnia and the Hobbit are based in Magic, sorcery, kabbalahh, enchantments, pagan mythos, etcetera. As can be seen by Witches, Pan, Magic, etcetera. I point out the elements of the occult that came from their belief in Rosicrucianism and the Order of the Golden Dawn of which they both where members of.
Faith in God and and obedient relationship with Him and God promises to do great and mighty things for them who believe. Its simple belief, trust or faith. Not numerology, astrology, alchemy, necromancy or sorcery. This is a funny statement that I’ve heard Christians, Kabbalist, Freemasons and Rosicrucians reiterate as a defense of what they do. Its a weak point comes off kind of humorous. Faith in G-d and G-d moving His hand is how miracles work, its that simple.
The bible tells us and shows us how He does miracles. Everything outside the bible isn’t inspired by Him and can’t be trusted to explain Him. Since His word is His direct revelation to us. The rest is conjecture men trying to explain God or trying to control who they believe he is.
Yes, Satan is a counterfeiter if you read my blog on the Magi you can see how Magic works. Part 1 is out Part 2 is coming next week.
God created the natural for God to heal or do miracles is natural to Him and only required faith not conjuring or sorcery.
I’ve seen people healed, I’ve seen angels protect young kids on a mission trip from a falling rock. I’ve been protected by many angelic miracles. I know how the supernatural works.
I also have dealt with demon possessed people so I know how satan works, through magic, manipulation, astrology, alchemy, necromancy, etc.
Tolkien and Narnia deal in the realm of satanic magic not God ordained miracles. The two are polar opposites just like true Judiasm, Messianic Judiasm and Judeo-Christianity is completely seperate from an false, pagan or psuedo sun-religion.
Judiasm is not a sun worshipping religion, the bible includes no sun worship and before the advent of the pagan “Universal (Catholic) Church which was heavily influenced by Mithraism and Neo-Platonist magic Christianity had no sun worship elements. Constantine and Rome re-imaged the Church destroyed its Jewish foundation and made up a new psuedo-pagan-christian-mythology. Biblical Judiasm and Christianity have no elements of paganism or sun-worship in them.
Jungian was an occult psychologist, he spoke to spirit guides or demons, he also called our demons or generational iniquity the dark archetypes of our ancestral past. In the blogs on pre-adamite and aliens or angels I deal with these fallen angels who are the disembody spirits of lucifers minions or the spirit guides or dark archetypes of our ancestral past. As for alternative physics its still not accepted a science. And its called alternative for a reason. Its not new its the pagan preisthood of magicians and sorcerors re-imaged for a new age. There is nothing new under the sun. There is power in occultism, satan, lucifer and an understanding of magnetic fields, gravity and its effect on our chemistry. Knowing nature and being able to manipulate it doesn’t make magic it makes trickery and bafoons. God does real miracles which doesn’t require esoteric knowledge or secret boy clubs.
If you acknowledge the bible forbids it you just provided a counter argument to the case you said which makes you point moot.
They do provide an accurate and comprehensive view of Norse, Greek and Egyptian mythology and the accurately depict the use of magic sticks, sorcery, magic languages, and other forms of black magic. The stuff does work but you have to be a satanist, to believe and follow Lucifer, sam hein, baalzebub, baphomet or whatever name the devil wants to take in these false religions.
Really. See I just go with historical proven people like Josephus, Philo and other who weren’t Christian and spoke of Yeshua. I don’t subscribe to pagan or demon influenced ideologies. Yes satanism works because the devil is real. Demons exist and can do things. The doctrine is called demonology. Those who worship, speak to and channel demons are in fact satanist. Whether you call the demons, spirit guides, dark ancestral archetypes or aliens.
Really? Wow! You should read my blogs dealing with Mithraism, Neo-Platonianism, Universal (Catholicism) and the sun-gods and you will see the two aren’t compatible in stricly scriptural Hebraic, Judeo-Christian world view. Yes Satan and demons exist and can speak to people they know the truth that’s why they create disinformation, distortion and lies.
Two things one is a land bridge, and second are demons aren’t bound to the space we exist in. They exist in the second heaven or what some would call and alternate dimension by some. The ancient earth Pangaea or Atlantis what have you was one continent. It wasn’t til the tower of babel that the land was divided and split up. It is in Genesis that it says this. The mystery religion of babylon has been taken across land bridges from the time of the dividing the continents. This doesn’t make the true just means they were carried great distance that once weren’t so far apart.
Demons, the disembodied spirits of the fallen angels (malakim) and their offsrping the giant Nephillim are the “cultural transmission” that you, Lewis and Tolkien refer to. Demonic transmission. You are right to mention is because Lewis and Tolkien believed in the truth your speaking of and sought to express this cultural transmission or demonic emanation to the world through their mythiopoetic writings based in the real Norse, Germanic, Roman and Egyptian myths.
Yeshua, a palestinian Jew who was of Semetic descent. He looked like ancient Arabs and Jews. He may have had a little Egyptian as the Hebrews spent a few hundred years in captivity.
Um, no it doesn’t read my blogs on Persia, The Arya, Mithra, Platonianism and the Magi, along with Catholic Universalism. They give a false picture and image of fallen angels cast to the earth. The themes of dragon gods, serpent gods and world tree’s and their sacred knowledge is the source of all magic. They are story from oracles of fallen angels and demons.
Seriously? No! I’ve read the Vedic, Mitrha, Mayan, Chinese, Tao, Buddhist, Egyptian, Platonianist and others and none fit the biblical account. Not based on right foundations or understanding. The God of the bible created the stars, planets, and everything therein. He is not the author of the tales spun by fallen angels.
What are you talking about. I know the truth and no amount of argument and debate can over power the truth. I do point out all the pagan stuff you mention and call it what it is, luciferianism. The truth will set you free. The G-d of the bible condemns the evil comparitive mythologies and demon inspired notions you’ve reinforced that Lewis and Tolkien intended to bring up. I’m exposing the lies and showing the truth.
Blessing en HaShem Yeshua
Hey Paradox
What have you read about CS Lewis?
Daniel
What do you mean?
I’ve listened to the entire Chronicles of Narnia series on Audio, I’ve had books Mere Christianity & the Screwtape Letters.
Did you read the blog? I discuss what I’ve read and found out in regards to Narnia and The Hobbit as the apply in the context of those two.
Did you have a question about the blog? What are you asking?
Much of the information comes from Lewis, Tolkien, sources close to them.
Thank you for your article on Tolken and Lewis. I recently had this revelation that our God is a God of the REAL not fantasy. As the Narnia Chronicles is now showing in Cinemas here in Australia I had this uneasy feeling that it was wrong because as mentioned God is a God of the real. Your article confirmed the uneasiness I was feeling. In fact I got rid of, from my home, all the “man made fake objects of God’s creation in the heavens(I had lots of angels), on the earth and under the sea (I had fake fish, painted wooden fruit, synthetic flowers, ornaments etc.) It was so liberating to have only what one needs and uses for living and focusing on and appreciating real created things like real flowers, the stars at night, real animals and giving thanks to Him who created it. How we waste our time and money on these fake items when we could be helping spread the gospel through ministries or helping the needy. I had to repent of so many things that I had entertained and announcing that they are false, one example was puppetry used in comedy and even christian stories. There is a great website http://www.demonbuster.com where this too was confirmed as wrong for me. Christmas tree was another one!!! it’s even mentioned in the Bible in Jeremiah how the pagans cut down a tree and decorated it. Yes we must come out of Babylon.
Thank you for your post. Its good to know people are coming out of babylon and becoming free. That’s been my desire to come out of the world and be free. In the process I’ve felt it crucial to tell others. We shouldn’t hide our light. It is true the commands of G-d do tell us to not make idols or images of things on heaven and earth. Another odd thing many angel depictions is they are female and we don’t see many female angels in scripture and the images are usually based on greek myths. I’ve had many things I’ve had to get ride of at one point G-d had me get ride of all my Star Wars and Bruce Lee DVD’s. One of the things that brought me to G-d was painting nature and thanking G-d for the beauty of all He made. I remember feeling G-d’s presence and praying and hearing G-d voice by being thankful of what’s real and made by G-d. Thank you for sharing your testimony its good to know I’m reaching people all over the world.

God is within each one of us so opening our consciousness to the unity of — spiritual consciousness in Christian Mysticism reveals — in the condition of love, which is a kind of spiritual and physical unity.
I don’t know what your calling “Christian” mysticism there is no such thing one can not be Christian and Mystic. Magic, Sorcery and Witchcraft are things the bible rejects. Galatians 5 :18-23, shows works of the flesh vs true works of the spirit. “God is in each of us opening our consciousness” is not a “Christian” or “Biblical” idea that’s a Wiccan, Pagan, Hindu, Buddhist idea that if you know “thyself then you know God and the Universe.” God doesn’t speak to our conscious through the dark achetypes of our ancestral pass He speaks to our spirit through the Ruah haKodesh (the Holy Spirit). The kind of love that created a “physical and spiritual bond” you speak of is the foundation for the pagan Mystery Religions of Babylon, which is and will be the foundation of the Secular New World Order. Gods love says “if you love Me, obey my commands.” You can not be pagan and “Christian,” you can’t serve God and mamon, you can’t worship Norse, Greco-Roman and Egypt gods and be “Christian,” you can’t be in to witchcraft, sorcery or kabala and be “Christian.” The bible tells us to reject and cast out such things and to be no part of this world. You can not serve God and the devil. If you think you can then you trully serve satan and are bound in occultism which obscures you from the true light. Irregardless of what you believe JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis where intiaites in the Order of the Golden Dawn, in which writting papers, books and works based on what they believed and pushing they to the mainstream public is their goal. The Order of the Golden Dawn is the primary foundation for modern Wicca, Neo-Paganism, Druidism and satanism. The Inklings was an Oxford literary group that shared these ideas. Many pagans have become so because of Narnia and Middle Earth. The book is found in many occult stores and is recommended reading for wicca, witches and neo-pagan, including the authors of Dungeons and Dragons, Beowulf and Harry Potter because they share the same message and theme. You must come out of the world and her ways, renounce paganism to be a true believer in Yeshua and the Bible only as inspiration. We don’t need magic or mysticism because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob does miracles like parting the Red Sea, healing the sick and rasing the dead. We don’t need hermetic kabala or mystical magic or even Norse, Greco-Roman and Egyptian false gods. You must love God and be a child of His commands, to worship God in His Spirit and in the Truth of Torah. The anti-christ is known for those who are lawless and cast off Torah. If you don’t keep the testimony of Yeshua and the Torah then your not a true believer in Messiah, Yeshua. There is only one way to the Father and that’s through Yeshua without Yeshua there is no way to God.
