One of the things you must be aware of in the Messianic movement are the Judiazers Paul spoke of. At times Judiazers ask you to question the New Testament, Paul and even Hebrews the most Hebraic book in the New Testament. Hebrews is the key to New Testament Jewish and Messianic faith. Without rightly understanding Yeshua’s work in the Brit Chadasha you miss the point all together.

“But when I saw that they are not walking uprightly to the truth of the good news, I said to Peter before all, ‘If thou, being a Jew, in the manner of the nations dost live, and not in the manner of the Jews, how the nations dost thou compel to Judaize?” Galatians 2:14 (YLT)

Yeshua died for our sins as a sacrifice replacing the bond servant and here child which Galatians tells us are the Levitical sacrifices. Yeshua is from the Tribe of Judah and not Levi. If Yeshua is not a priest after Melchezedek, He is not a priest at all, and if He’s not a priest then His sacrifice was in vain and He died just a prophet. We know His sacrifice is for our atonement a man’s death couldn’t atone for our sins under the Levitical sacrifice actually it was forbidden. The Levite’s tenure there resignation while watching over and calling for Yeshua death. It was a right sacrifice because it was overseen by the High Priest of the Levi’s. However after Yeshua’s death, during the Second Temple period, before the destruction of the temple, the crimson cord that was put on the scapegoat on the day of atonement quit turning white. This is significant because it shows that the sacrifice on Yom Kippur was no longer acceptable as a sacrifice after Yeshua’s death. Just like when the Veil, the partition wall into the Holy of Holies was rent, Adonay no longer dwelt in man however in Yeshua he enacted the Brit Chadasha that made His dwelling in men. Yeshua promised that He and His father would come in and sup with believers, that our bodies are now the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are the priest of the New Covenant. And therefor wherever we are is holy and we can practice the festivals in diaspora because Adonay is with us. As the High Preist after Melchezedek, He made us a royal nation of Priests and Kings as well. This is what Adonay desired on the mountain when He said “I wish all of Israel were prophets.” However Adonay had to institute the Levitical Priesthood for a time to show man G-ds ways and the cost of disobedience. Yeshua grafts us into the Avrahamic Covenant making us heirs to the promises through Avraham. Yeshua fulfilled the Levitical Sacrifices and has re-instituted the Melchezedek Order. Yeshua takes us back to the Promise’s to Moshe while fulfilling the Levitical Sacrifices. This is crucial to understand as Messianic Believers as we minister to Christians seeking to understand their connection to the Jewish Roots and we seek to show a right connection to our Messianic “Christian” Faith. Without this we are just Judiazers seeking to fulfill torah without a right understanding of Yeshua. Paul who was a classically trained Rabbi understood Torah, biblical Judiasm and was able to warn against these Judiazers.If you question the fundamentals like the resurrection, salvation, crucifixion, the virgin birth, etcetera… you may not have a good foundation. And thus you must beware of the Judiazers who emphasize everything Orthodox Jewish belief and interpretation over scripture even Yeshua and the Brit Chadasha. Yeshua did die for our sins and made changes to the Old Covenant when He enacted the New Covenant Jeremiah promised. Yeshua is the New Temple and fulfills the Promise to Yeshua.

Yes, the Jewish Roots are the foundation of the Church, the law is used for good, the festivals are the L-rds and we have the Ruach Ha’Koddesh manifesting through grace to help us and teach us how to live right-just-ly. Thanks to Yeshua’s death on the tree, the veil (the partition wall) was rent. Adonay no longer lives in temples made by men for our bodies are the temples of the Ruach HaKodesh. Yeshua changed the priesthood from Levitical sacrifices to Melchezedek Priesthood, with Yeshua as the final sacrifice. Yeshua came from Judah not Levi. Now, the Law is Now written on our hearts. Yeshua is the Heavenly Temple who replaced the Levitical Sacrifices with His death dying Once For All sins.

Yes Jewish teaching may be right more times than not however they are not right all the time. Especially when modern Judiasm overlooks and rejects ancient Jewish teaching. Even if old and new Jewish thought disagrees with scripture then we take the bible view which maybe neither. And in the light of Yeshua died for and did this is the case in specific instances including the change in priesthood and the completion of sacrifices.

We can’t hold completely to modern Judiasm above Scripture or Yeshua because it rejects Ancient Judiasm at times as a response and rejection of ancient Messianic influences. For example too much modern Judiasm teaches that G-d is One’ness and not the old school judiasm that’s Echad (plural unity). Before 600 CE Judiasm taught G-d was multifaceted, that the Angel of The L-rd was Yahweh (we know Him to be Yeshua), that the Ruach HaKoddesh was G-d, that YHVH Adonay was in Heaven and has never been seen at any time yet the Angel of Adonay has been seen. As a reaction to Christian’s using this to try to convert Jews a 6th Century Rabbi using the Roman language and numeral one Redefined G-d as the numerical value of One instead of the Echad view of plural unity. In the view that G-d was multifaceted the ancient Jews taught that Wisdom, Knowledge, etcetera were aspects of G-d as well. They never taught a Tri-unity. A right view of the G-dhead is needed.

That G-d is Echad, just as a husband and wife are Echad. That’s why Yeshua prayed may they be One (Echad) as we are One (Echad). G-d wants believers united as a married couple is united. The G-dhead is biblical, there not one as the numerical value however they are a plural unity. As in math one to the third power still equals one. For example in Genesis 19:23-24 Yahweh rained fire from Yahweh in heaven. Isaiah 43 speaks of Yahweh and His Redeemer Yahweh Tsidkenu. Even the name Elohim is used as a plural definition of G-d, as in G-d said let “us.” Adonay is One-Echad-Plural Unity. The Son isn’t the Father and vice versa, the Holy Spirit isn’t the father, yet they all make up the G-dhead who is Echad. G-d is Wisdom, Knowledge, Power, etcetera. Understanding The L-rd G-d Revelation, the revelation the G-d is Echad, the change in Priesthoods and the complete sacrifice in Yeshua are essential keys to Messianic faith. Understandng the unity of G-d as Echad (one in plural unity) was a revelation and revolutionary to me. That is why I call it the G-dhead revelation. Because it was a revelation to me. This is the Emaus Road Revelation.

One should not be puzzled at what G-d did or said but should accept it and believe it regardless of whether you can rationalize it or not. If you question the fundamental you might not have them at all. You must believe the Holy Spirit concieved Yeshua according to scripture, you must believe He died and rose on the third day.

The G-dhead is a biblical concept the term “Trinity” is a bad term even if the definition is biblically sound. The Catholic Church used non pagan terminology to describe a biblical concept of the G-dhead as Echad or Plural Unity. This confuses the idea. The Orthodox Catholics who became the Roman Catholic, when they meet for the Nicene council they were Roman and felt biblical traditions were “Jewish.” Thus they didn’t want to give up being Roman so the sought way to change this and felt they had found a way that they could do it. Because they could and did doesn’t mean they should have. They believed in the rightness of “Roman”ticism. If you read the writings of some of the Orthodox Church “Fathers” it is clear that they believed Plato was as inspired as Moses was so they blended Roman ideas in with verse’s they had read in the New Testament that they felt supported their change. In my informed opinion Constantine wasn’t a “Christian” he was a Mithraist he accepted “Christianity” as “a” religion not “the” religion. It was accepted along with others. The sincretic nature of blending pagan with Christian ideas made them spiritually opposed to right doing since Satan and G-d have no fellowship. Being Roman and believing in the rightness of Platonism and Mithraism coupled with trying to squeze in Christianity made them confused and deluded. The Catholic Church was much like modern military chaplains have to know how to do all types of service from Wicca to Muslim to Jewish to Christian and so on and on was the Orthodox Catholic movement.

The first second century Jewish Synagogues were changed by early the Messianic Nazarene believers because they we’re one for close to 100 years, they had fellowship together. These changes can still be done today. Of course there were differences among the Pharisee’s, Saducee’s, Essenes, Ebonites, Nazarenes, etcetera however they all went to Synagogues together. The first century saw much Judeo-Christian unity it wasn’t til 119 that this started to change after the disciples passed away and some Pharisee’s rose up seeking to establish their own movement. Seeking to establish their own Messiah and adding the nineteenth prayer to the Amidah or standing prayer known as the Heretics curse aimed at the Messianic Nazarine.

American Christians do seem to put too much faith in themselves and not enough faith in G-d. We should simply believe and trust scripture even if we don’t understand. We must be like the noble Berean’s who seek to know the truth.
