Its nice to be able to take family day trips. Being in California you have access to beautiful landscapes and fun adventures. You really get a chance to live an active lifestyle. We usually take trips out on the weekends to the beach or to local site to take in the views. I have not been in the habit of doing picture blogs or sharing our experiences however I felt that it would be nice to share some of the experiences. This is a beautiful park that is only 5 minutes from downtown Solvang.

I’ve been driving by signs for this Nojoqui Fall Park and wondered what was there. So I got the idea to take the family to go check it out. We loaded up the car and headed out. It had just stopped raining a few days before so there was plenty of water rushing down the stream, the waterfall and stream we’re full. On the way up we had an adventure getting around the spots of mud with a little slipping and sliding. It was a nice trip, it was fun and beautiful. Its starting to warm up here. It’s a good time to go camping, hiking and have some good outdoor fun. Its nice to know there are nice and beautiful places close by you can visit in a few minutes drive.

Here is a picture blog of pictures taken on our recent day trip to the Nojoqui Falls Park. Admittedly the pictures we’re taken with my wife’s Window’s 7 phone so their not top notch. Speaking of which I need to get a good camera for taking pictures. I have a host of beautiful picture’s I’ve taken from my travels from Yosemite, Sequoia National Forest, The Grand Canyon, Spain, France, Belgium, Mexico, Holland and The Swiss Alps that I need to scan and upload. Once my web designer finishes the new website I will be working on putting the pictures up. Right now we are gearing up to take a weekend trip to Hearst Castle, Los Padres National Forest, Big Sur, Monterey Bay, and other sites on the way. I plan to keep a picture record and write a blog once were done. Just to let you know so that you can keep you eye out for that.

When going on life’s road you face many experiences

Sometimes you face turns and speed limits

Some times things get your attention in one direction or the other.

Sometimes you arrive at your destination right on time

And at first you destination doesn’t seem to stand out much

But its really just about catching moments with your family

Taking a walk on the beautiful side of Adonai’s creation

Looking up to glimpse the sunlight in

Looking down to see what’s below you

But really its about the destination

Its about throwing your arms back and taking it all in

Enjoying the moment and making memories

Time to skip rocks and splash in the water

Time to enjoy each others company

Time to stop and look at what’s around

Time to sneak in a hug

Time to stop and investigate

Sometimes you face bridges to cross

And you must go to the other side

Sometimes you have to just point and laugh.

But its really about feeling like a king for a day.
