So on Twitter @trackspast an apparent Deist who doesn’t believe in Messiah over claims That Yeshua didn’t fulfill “some” prophecy. The thing this deist doesn’t seem to undersrand is the dual nature of Messiah’s coming. It interesting that. Deist and Agnostic’s have been asking me questions lately and I’m glad to answer. Here’s the latest conversation edited to be more readable on a blog as opposed to Twitter.
According to the Essenes’ of the Second Temple period Messiah was to come twice, once as a suffering servant or priest, and a second time as conquering King. The Pharisee’s wanted messiah to come as conquering King, the first time around. Things were hard for the Jewish people at that time (as they have been many times in History), after being taken captive way too many times, being conquered and ruled by foreign powers they were struggling to maintain their identity, fighting against Hellenism and trying to define what they believed. The Jewish people were looking for the conquering King however those who put faith in Messiah Yeshua found comfort in the Suffering Servant who was preparing them to endure persecution. This is key to understanding biblical prophecy.
The was debate was over the misunderstanding that the Deistic Claims Why Yeshua Wasn’t Messiah and the Christian Claim How Yeshua Fulfilled Prophecy And Is Messiah!. Of course these are simply answered Messiah was prophesied to come twice, one as suffering servant-preist & secondly as conquering King. Also take a look 100 Truths About Jesus at http://www.carm.org/100truth.htm. Yesdhua did fulfill some prophecy, but not all prophecy. He came as suffering servant-preist and not yet as reigning King as I’ve discussed.
This character kept claiming I’m apart of a minority though the math remains there are more religious than non-religious proplr in the world, and Christians are the largest group period specifically of religious. The Truth is Yeshua is a Historical person who fulfilled half of the prophecies concerning Messiah as a suffering servant-preist. it is True Yeshua hasn’t come the 2nd time yet, there are half of the prophecies to be fulfilled before & when He returns. Religous are not a minority they out number non-religious and of religious we “Christians” are the Majority, we are the Majority of any group who agree on one topic that there is a “G-d” we don’t agree on who He is or how He is to be worshiped. There are 2 Billion who follow my faith people of all faiths are a majority over non-faith people & of faith we are majority.
It is a historical fact that Yeshua live and died, that is what you must consider before you die, you have to choose life and death. For G-d so loved u He sent His son, Messiah, to first die for you, who will come again to judge the living and the dead. Yeshua believed in you while you didn’t honor Him, trust Him He is trustworthy, religious men aren’t, He is. The Truth will set you free all you have to do is repent of your sins, recieve Yeshua as Messiah and believe, and its simple your saved. Yeshua is a good man, G-d. Its religious men who make Him look bad by misrepresenting Him much evil has been done by religion. The G-d of the bible is good, people have taken it to do evil and unjust, seek G-d who does not lie, not man who does.
There is hunger and illness. Yeshua is returning again as conquering King. The temple will be rebuilt before Yeshua Returns. The temple existed at the time of Yeshua. Yeshua said His body is the temple. Yeshua is coming again He fulfilled the prophecies of suffering servant. Evil happens because the devil is real and seek to destroy what’s good, evil hates good. True peace comes in the millennial reign.
Its comical everytime one doesn’t like what is say they make the baseless reply “unfounded claim” which is false untrue and scientifically unproveable and itself is an unfounded claim.
G-d created the cosmos, He is its ruler, He decided our fate before He let the world spin, take time to listen to Him. it is determined by your choice, before u choose G-d knows ur choices & G-d knows, but leaves the choice up to you. if your accountable for your actions that’s a moral choice, being accountable for our choices and choosing to submit to G-d is a choice. Accountability for one’s action is what I’m talking about one should be accountable to G-d especially religious folk. If G-d created the world we should honor Him, just like you would someone who built ur house, car, clothes, show honor where due. Its the majority belief of the largest group of religious people, it is a belief and a majority opinion at that. Yet its the largest for a reason, Yeshua died for our sins, that reality impacts more people than any other. Yeshua met all the required one’s to come as the suffering servant-priest
We are sentient beings G-d cares about us deeply, we are unique, and G-d cares about you. If and since there is a G-d who created things the right thing is to respect Him and what He has created. We should honor, revere and respect Adonai. Who ever its believed by if G-d created the world, He is the one who will judge us and decide our fate at death, by most religions. Christianity including Orthodox and Catholicism is the worlds largest religion. That is something to consider.
This Deistic theologican doesnt understand the two comings of messiah and doesn’t seem to know prophesies that Yeshua fulfilled. For example according to CARM.ORG He fulfilled these prophecies:
Born of the Seed of the Woman1 Gen. 3:15, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Matt. 1:20, “But after he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph, Son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.’” Born of a Virgin Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Matt. 1:18,25, “This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary…was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit… But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.” Son of God Psalm 2:7, “I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, ‘You are my Son, today I have become your Father.’” Matt. 3:15, “And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’” Seed of Abraham Gen. 22:18, “and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” Matt. 1:1, “record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham.” Son of Isaac Gen. 21:12, “But God said to him, ‘Do not be so distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.’” Luke 3:23-34, ”Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli… the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor.” House of David Jer. 23:5, “The days are coming, declares the LORD, ‘when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.’” Luke 3:23-31, “Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli… the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David.” Born at Bethlehem Micah 5:2 ”But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Matt. 2:1, “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem.” He shall be a Prophet Deut. 18:18, “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.” Matt. 21:11,”The crowds answered, ‘This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.’” He shall be a Priest Psalm 110:4, “The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: ‘You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’” Heb. 3:1,“Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.”Heb. 5:5-6, “So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, ‘You are my Son; today I have become your Father.’ And he says in another place, ‘You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’” He shall be a King Psalm 2:6, “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.” Matt. 27:37, “Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” He shall judge Isaiah 33:22, “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us.” John 5:30, “By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.” He would be preceded by a Messenger Isaiah 40:3, “A voice of one calling: ‘In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.’” Matt. 3:1-2, “In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.’” Rejected by His own people Isaiah 53:3, “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” John 7:5,“For even his own brothers did not believe in him.”John 7:48, “Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?” His side pierced Zech. 12:10, “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one mourns for an only son.” John 19:34, “Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.” Crucifixion Psalm 22:1, Psalm 22:11-18, “For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of the Morning.” A psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?… Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help. Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.” Luke 23:33, “When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals — one on his right, the other on his left.”John 19:33, “But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.”John 19:23-24, “When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. ‘Let’s not tear it,’ they said to one another. ‘Let’s decide by lot who will get it.’ This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, ‘They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.’ So this is what the soldiers did.”

It is true that Yeshua fulfilled these prophesies as the suffering servant priest as the Essene’s, Qum’ran and Chtristian’s believe. However Yeshua will return the final time to judge the quick and dead. This is where the Dogmatic Deist goes wrong he uses prophecies concerning the second coming to say Yeshua isn’t messiah which is anti-logical. As I’ve stated that Yeshua came once as suffering servant and will come again as conquering king. Lets respond to the misnomers here. For example he claims:
“Jesus DID NOT gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel” – @trackspast
Falce and True: Yeshua gathers grouds of Jewish people, following the Teshuvah and baptism by Yochnan the Mikvahist (Baptiser), Yeshua did not return the exiles from Israel because the Tribe of Judam was in the land at the time and He had not come the scond time yet. Before He returns the second time the Temple will be rebuilt and the exiles will come home. That is why we pray for the restoration of the Temple and of Israel’s tribes everyday in the Amidah.
“Jesus DID NOT rebuild the temple he only stated he would if it were destroyed.” – @trackspast
Yeshua said His body is the Temple it is was destroyed and rebuilt in three days. The Paroket (the veil) in the temple was rent when th Paraklet was given up as Yeshua said “Into my hands I commit my spirit.” That is the temple Yeshua was talkaing about. Yeshua reinstituted the Preistly order of Melchizedek, He is our Cohen Hagadol (High Priest) and we are a holy nation and a royal preisthood. The temple wasn’t destroyed until 70 AD when Niro declared himself to be god , desecrated and destroyed the temple. A new San Hedrin has been formed, preparations are being made to reinstitute the Levitical Preisthood and rebuild the Templle. The Hebraice belief of Creation has 2,000 years withouth law (Torah), and then 2,000 years with Torah starting with Moseh, and then 2,000 years of Messiah, ending in the Millenial reign. We have been in the time of Messiah since Yeshua died. The age of Messiah is coming to an end and the preparations for the temple to be rebuilt and for armegeddon are upon us. We must prepare for the transition into Adonai’s theocratic Kingdom. Those of us who are save and are knwn by Him will be caught up to come back and rulle and reght with Him.
“Jesus Did Not bring world peace he only spoke of it.” – @trackspast
There are two fold manifestations to prophecy the physical and the spiritual. Yehsua provides peace and shalom to the hearts of those He dwells in. He promise’s peace on earth when He come again to battal ha’Shatan in the battle of Armegeddon.
“Jesus Failed in his attempt to influence the world to serve ONE .” – @trackspast
To Serve One what? He is Adonai HaShem, and His Father is HaShem Elohim, and they are Echad. Once as husband and wife “become one flesh.” If you mean to make the world serve the one true G-d that will happen when He comes the second tiem to establish His millenial Kingdom.
“The Sanhedrin was still established.” – @trackspast
Yeshua instituted His own Sanhedrin He called and anointed 70 leaders in Luke 10, in Acts they we’re called the Jerusalem Council. There is also a Sanhedrin right now in Israel preparing for the temple to be rebuilt. There will be a complete fulfillment once Messiah returns the second time.
“Jesus Did Not destroy the weapons of war.” – @trackspast
He will do this in the second advent or coming. You must remember he was prophesied and believed to come twice by the Essene’s, Qum’ran and the early Natzrim and Ebionites.
“Jesus Did Not make the lands fruitful, let alone the barren lands.” – @trackspast
That is again a prophecy to be fullfilled when He returns for the second time.
“The Jews Did Not know the Torah without study. Jesus even instructed the priest of the Temple.” – @trackspast
The Torah is no written on the hearts of those who repent and put their faith in Him. People who serve Him and love Him obey Him walking in the Spirit, they seek to fulfill Torah, many do just by following the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reminds us of the words of Yeshua. Yeshua is the Word. Yeshua is the D’var Adonai of the Tanakh, He is also the Adon, Av-Ad (Eternal Father), and Elohim. Yeshua is the G-d of the Tanakh, this is the Emaus Road Revelation or the L-rd G-d Revelation of who Yeshua is.
“Jesus Did Not restore the cities of Israel” – @trackspast
Of course not that’s a prophecy for the conquering King not the suffering servant-priest.
“Jesus Did Not have other nations looking to him for guidance as the supposed King of the Jews.” – @trackspast
Jesus has wise men the Magi who were from Persia come worship Him as King of the Jews. In the new millenium after Armegeddon the whole world and all governments that are still alive will submit to the rule of Adonai Yeshua, Elohim and the Remnant of Saints who govern the earth with Him.
“Evil and tyranny Still Remained during his life.” – @trackspast
Exactly He came to die for our sins and give us a way to heaven. He taught us how to drive out devils and to take out authority. He should us we have a choice between good and evil. At the final battle of Armegeddon Evil and Tyranny will be thrown into Abaddon the Abbys.
“The people of the world Never looked to the Jews for spiritual guidance.” – @trackspast
Christianity is the largest group of people period, there are more religious people than non religious, not all religions serve the G-d of Israel, Christianity, Judaism and Islam are the largest religious body period and Christianity and Islam look to Yeshua for teaching. Even Ghandi looked to Yeshua as a model of non-violence. In Hinduism Yeshua is one of their G-ds. Buddhist monks in the first century adopted some Christian ideals and principles. Christianity is the most influential religion on the planent. That is only partial because full fulfillment will not come until Messiah returns to rule the world at the battle of Armegedon.
“The Jewish people to this day Have Not joy, happiness, or peace let alone it be eternal.” – @trackspast
Those who put faith in Messiah have happinies, peace and joy. Not all but those who put faith in Messiah. Corrie Ten Boome a survivor of the Holocaust has love and forgiveness in Messiah there is eternal peace. Peace on eath will happen when Yeshua comes the second time to fulfill the second half of biblical prophecies.
“There is still hunger, illness, and death in the world.” – @trackspast
And there will be until the millenial kingdom. You must understand the two comings of messiah one to set up a priesthood for all not just one nation and secondly to come as conquering king.
“The dead are still in their graves.” – @trackspast
A few dead did rise up out of the grave when Yeshua gave up His Ruach, when the Parokey in the temple was rent, and some people raised from the dead. The final Resurrection of the dead will happen when Yeshua returns the second time. Thus the Second coming.
“The world has NEVER worshiped the God of Israel and does not do so to this day.” – @trackspast
True, and it won’t til after the battle of Armegeddon. Yeshua has fulfilled half of the prophecies all the ones regarding the suffering servant and priest, He has yet to fulfill the conquering King who sets up a millenial kingdom were ever knee shall bow.
Just because Yeshua didn’t fulfill some prophesies doesn’t mean He hasn’t fulfilled others doesn’t mean that He’s not Messiah. Just as the Essene’s Qum’ran, Netzerim, Ebonites< Jessaians and others believer Messiah was and is to come two times. Once you understand that they scripture makes sense. Yeshua fulfilled the half of the scripture necessary to bring salvation to gentiles and not just the Jews and prepare us for His final return to judge the quick and the dead. All would have died the first time and there would be no hope it is necessary for messiah to come twice. Once to teach us how to live, show us the way of salvation and prepare us as His bride for the second coming. If He had not come to teach us the right way we would never be ready for the second coming.
