Without a doubt the age of the earth is at least 13,000 to 20,000 years old at the youngest in my estimation if you look in pre-adamiac theology it has to be. To give time for dinosaurs an ice age, Adam, Noah, a flood, the Tower of Babel and a division of the land and languages. At best it’s an interesting idea to consider. Rabbi Bahya ben Asher postulates that the Eretz (Earth) may be a few billions of years old. According to the Talmud Chaggiga in section 13b-14a says there were 974 generations before G-d created Adam. If a generation is 100 years that would make the earth 97,400 years old. If a generation was 60 years that would make the earth 58,440 years olf. If a generation was 40 years that would make the earth 38,960 years old.
I tend to follow the young earth theory that the earth is at least 12,772 years old at bare minimum to about 19,772. That is if there was an Millennial Week age before man which would have been 6,000 and then the ice age or millennial rest for 1,000 years as a judgment on the pre-adamic creation. Then add the calculation of 5,772 plus or minus a few years from Adam til know. However if you add in the 974 generations to that would make the earth 110,172 years old at its oldest or 44,732 at its youngest if you accept the Chaggiga portion of the Talmud. I’ve more inclined to believe it’s somewhere between 5,771 and 12,771 or 19,771 at the oldest.
Upon considering the Chaggiga and Rabbi Bahya ben Asher it makes you wonder if there we’re more Millennial Weeks, could we be in Millennial Week Two or Three. According to Rabbi Bahya ben Asher there had to be at least 44 to 110 Millennial Weeks. Include archaeological and scientific data that makes us have to seriously consider there was a time or many times before man that this world existed in which there was some form of society whether Atlantis or Thule existed with some form of pre-adamic man and civilization. Whether Livyatan or some other pre-adamic dragon or serpent creature some of whom may have hide underground during the Ice Age Judgment and provided Cain with a wife. Who most likely had been the B’nei Elohim who procreated with the daughters of men.
Whether 974 generations or one too two previous Millennial Weeks existed before Adam or not you have to admit that there was an age before Adam when Dinosaurs reign. After having done some study I do feel the math behind 5,771 from Adam to know is solid and has been tested. There is enough room to allow for a day age theory to explain the pre-adamaic age of atleast 6,000 years to 12,000 years before Adam and the Age of manking made in Elohim’s image as Echad.
I do firmly believe that the and it was night and it was day means that the restoration of Adam was a literal six days. Try to follow me. We may have had a few Millennial Weeks from the creation in Genesis 1:1 to the Restoration in Genesis 1:3-29.
Archeological and historical evidence does prove that from the Mayans, to India, to China, to the Middle East and Africa civilization as Homo-Sapien has only existed for near 6,000 with the ability to read, write, do math, alchemy, astrology, create weapons, metallurgy and complex masonry.
It’s interesting that we received our first Alef-Bet from the people who spoke to Adonai and were His chosen people. And that the Phoenicians near by developed phonetics. Talking to Adonai helps. And that Geometry and complex math came from those who lived nearby in the Arab world, using the 10 number system they learned trading with India (0-9). Even the Pyramid’s were built with the help of the Hebrew people.
The sons of Noah, including Shem we’re around when the languages were dispersed and the land divided after the Tower of Babel. Shem most likely the grandfather or grand uncle of Avram.
It is interesting that those who seek G-d find the beginning of wisdom, the fear of Adonai where He says “Come let us reason together.” G-d is the center of all true wisdom and counsel, His word is solid. Go to G-d before you go to any other. The biblical story from Adam til now is true full of evidence without a doubt is the infallible D’var of Adonai to us. Historically the bible has been proven to tell the true tales of people and places that have existed.
The bible itself doesn’t give an age to the earth and the fact that there are three creation accounts, one in verse 1, a second in the rest of the chapter one and another in chapter two, should make us think before we assume we know the age of the earth. Why three creation stories? Why one that’s short without details? Why two others with a different set of details, one general the other specific? Selah.
A Bit More On The Age Of The Earth
As I’ve shown before the event that is described in Genesis 1:2; Job 9:5-10; and
Jeremiah 4:23-26. “And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.”
Shows the cataclysmic event occurred as a direct result of the rebellion of Satan and his angels against their Creator in Heaven. Michael the Archangel then casting them out of Heaven into the spiritual realm (abyss) around the Earth. When satan was cast from heaven into this vacuüm that was created by his choice to separate himself from God this created the hell we know of today, for out of his belly came fire that consumed him and the abyss of fiery abode was formed, (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-17). Adonai is I AM, The HaShem of protection and once step out of His presence leaves you unprotected from all the elements out there. When this happened this willful denial, rejection and attempt to ascend to the throne of Elohim, haSatan was violently cast from heaven by Michael the archangel. This separation is why the bible says when God did this fire came out of Lucifer’s belly, that he became ugly and this is how hell was created. Fire came out of Him because outside of Gods protection is agony and despair. Without God no life can live and to want to live without God is wickedness. True wickedness was rooted in the, “I will” statements the want to do this your way and not Gods way.
To Create To Devastate?
The Scofield Study Bible says this:
“The first act (of creation Genesis 1) refers to the dateless past, and gives scope for all the geologic ages . . . The face of the earth bears everywhere the marks of such a catastrophe. They do not want intimations, which connect it with a previous testing, and fall of angels… Relegate fossils to the primitive creation, and no conflict of science with the Genesis cosmogony remains.”
This cataclysm that left the earth “without form and void,” (or “a shapeless chaotic mass” as The Living Bible expresses it), with “darkness on the face of the deep” everywhere, required a worldwide earthquake, volcanic explosion, or meteor strike that would effectively disintegrate the whole surface of the earth into an ice age. All pre-cataclysm mountains would be blown into the sea and billions of tons of rocks and dust blown into the atmosphere, leaving the earth covered with “the deep” everywhere and “darkness” covering the deep everywhere. Historically this is known as the ice age thought to have been caused by a meteor that hit the earth and caused sediment to cover the sky which caused the world to freeze leaving wooly mammoths with cud in their mouth. If they had been frozen in the flood the cud would have been washed out but and the earth instantly and completely froze. God destroyed the first earth and the earth lay in waste in ruins because of Lucifer’s original sin. This awesome spectacle of destruction and death was not a result of God’s “very good” creation however it was initiated by Lucifer’s prideful exalting himself above God in His heart and then He choose to act upon that prideful exaltation and sinned against heaven. God had His angels including Michael and Gabriel, Lucifer’s fellow archangels, leveled the original earth in response to this action and decided to start again. Or it is a possibility that satan and his minions had a temper tantrum and thought they would mess up Gods good creation. That is why in verse two of Genesis it says the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. God was stirring up the waters, which is the beginning of the reconstruction of Gods earth.
Nelsons Study Bible says this about the reconstruction of the earth:
“Here it means that God renewed what was in a chaotic state. God changed chaos into cosmos, disorder into order, emptiness into fullness … The two words, without form and void, express one concept—chaos. The earth had been reduced to this state—it was not the way God had first created it.”
The restoration is not a recreation but a restoration God brings the dead and destroyed things back to life the only now things that God creates at this point are the stars, moon, sun and the human race. Note. The Adamic race maybe similar to but are not the same as the human race. When God started creating things again He washed the slate clean and man was created to live for eternity until sin was in the world through temptation and choosing to give into that temptation. (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21; etc.). Sin entered into humanity through Adam and death itself is “the wages of sin” (Romans 6:23). Our future deliverance from sin and death has been purchased by the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross in 30 CE, who is “the propitiation for our sins and … also for the sins of the whole world” (John 2:2). In Genesis we see that on day one and God said “Let there be light and there was light.” How can this be when God did not actually “create” the stars or the sun until verse 16 on day four. God is light so God said let a word of allowance not a word of creation. God is light and in Him no darkness at all where did darkness come from except from the sin of Lucifer and His being cast down to the earth, God destroyed everything and shut down all His sustaining, life and light-giving power to the earth. God sent His Holy Spirit to stir up the waters and then He became the light again then He started restoring things. God said let there be light, let there be water etc… He did not actually create anything after the first instant act of creation until day four when He created starting with fish and then birds, and then again on day six when he created man however on day five God created the animals to have life again.
Gods creation in Genesis 1:1 was complete God is perfect and in Him there is no imperfection. His original creations had complete free choice and choose to sin against Him. God judged the sinful creation by total annihilation. Then in six literal days He restored the earth through the Adamic restoration, recreation, or rejuvenation process set forth in Genesis 1:3-2:7. The Hebrew word here in Genesis for day is Yamim, which is used over 700 times in the Old Testament and every time, means a literal day. There is no room in here for “Theistic Evolution,” or an “Age day theory.” The restoration was literally six days. Whereas I’m sure the initial creation account was a bit longer, look at the expanse of the universe and how fast light travels. Lucifer had already fallen when he tempted eve. By the time of Adam and Eve, satans rebellion had to have been completed before Adam and Eve were created at some point. It would not make sense for Lucifer to lead a rebellion after man was created unless maybe he used the fact that God attention was on us to create jealousy in his followers.
Chemically Homo Sapiens are dust of the earth and zoologically they are animals (they have a soul, the breath of life and need to eat and breathe to live), (Genesis 2:7; 1:30). Yet Adonai made them unique with a spirit man just like Elohim, who is Spirit so that we can communicate spirit to spirit. Animals bodies and soul die and go into the earth whereas a man when he dies he is judge and to be absent from the body is to be present with Adonai. The Adamic man was designed to be in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27; man is made up of three essential parts a spirit (intangible), soul (heart, mind, will, and emotions) and flesh (body, carnal nature). However the pre-Adamic race was not created in the image of God. Adam was a willful creation of Adonai to allowed man to be free and independent like Himself. Adonai wanted man to choose and obey Him out of there own free will. The curse of sin that led to death did not “enter the” human race until Adam lead away by Lucifer or satan, Adam himself willfully choose to sin and thus all man have inherited sin through the DNA of out physical parents passed down from Adam and eve. This is the sin nature that Jesus came and did away with by the power of His death on the cross. (Romans 5:12; I Corinthians 15:2 1). Because of the great curse pronounced by God on man’s because of mans willful rejection of Gods law he lost his rightful dominion over the entire earth (Genesis 3:17-19), as a result of sin which Jesus fully restored by the work of the cross abolishing the work of the devil. Because of the cross we have the mind and spirit of Christ we have yet to receive or new bodies until we get caught up in glory to meet Jesus. Let us take a closer look at the Genesis account of creation looking at verb usage, context and exegesis.
“In a (Be) beginning (Reishit) G-d (Elohim) created (Barah) the heavens (Shamayim),
And the earth had become (Tohu Wa Bohu) without form and void and darkness, (HaShek) over the face of the solid frozen water, (HaMajim) of the deep, (Tehom).” (Genesis 1:1-2)
This formless waste, that was a dark face of frozen solid water was caused by the pre-Adamic cataclysm which why dinosaurs and other primitive species, as well as a pre-Adamic race disappeared. This also explains how the earth has existed all for a long time and why scientist debate whether there is 6,000,000 to 20,000 years. This has been proven by modern geological studies and earth core samples. The earth is still young in my estimation and according to many young earth theorist. The absence of light brought by God hiding His face from the fallen dark angels who are now in chains caused the ice age to occur, Jude 1:6. As I explained earlier God casting satan down from heaven created the ice age because God stopped being the light of the world and everything became dark. The casting down of the devil caused an instantaneous raging of the atmospheric water around the earth which God had not separated as of yet. There was one atmosphere of a mixture of oxygen and water it was thicker than Adamic air and thinner that Adamic water. Along disrupting the earth’s atmosphere it created earthquakes, and volcanoes which destroyed everything in this momentary process God turned away from His creation and everything froze (Job 38:4-7; Isa. 14:12-14; Ezek 20:11-19; 28). In other words, all life was destroyed on the face of the earth. This is not far removed from current theories regarding darkness precipitating the end of all life and the onset of an ice age.
“And the Spirit of God was moving-incubating (Rakach) over the frozen waters.” (Genesis 1:3)
God warmed the frozen earth. God then recreated (Asah) out of preëxisting materials, the earth and all that is in it in six days, and uncovered the heavenly bodies as necessary. God maintains the form of what He has established God does not allow or use evolution. God created it and it things are as He created them a TV or VCR is not a new creation. It is however a reconfiguring a manipulation of what God has created originally. God maintains the essence of the creäture within the creation, which he created. Everything is as God intended it perse. Except the sin factor and the adversary caused by the fallen angels and our willful acts of rebellion. The are no “missing links” nor is there any empirical data proving transmutations in any instance. Some of Gods creations are unique, and some bare similarity, but each maintains its own identity. Only species of like kind can be cross-seeded as a donkey and a horse can breed however there byproduct the mule is infertile and can not reproduce God did not intend for any unnatural sexual relations with other species. God did not pronounce creation or restoration “finished” until Genesis 2:1.
