Answer: In my opinion no it shouldn’t be discussed in polite company. There was I time when Americans respected individuals rights over self interest. Self interest is the only interest many now show. Religion and politics divide families, and shouldn’t be shared on holidays or discussed at works. I prefer random and vague proverbial or parabolic discussion over a direct or overtly pointed-poignant approach. Declaring who you support as a company or financing a specific agenda, religion or party seems to be more self serving and divisive. I’ve seen religious discussions affect two companies high level management verbally spar, threatening legal action over empoyee’s and companies stances. In my estimation society has become more diverse and public discourse should should focus on diversity and inclusion not division, segregation or exclusion. Corporations should retain apolitical stances. People as individuals should choose how they shall live and let their personal life be the light that exemplifies what they believe.

Follow Up Question:
Answer: Since, we observe the Jewish Holy Days inasmuch as they don’t coincide with western Holidays, we can easily work retail on Christmas while still enjoying taking vacation on Passover, Sukkot and Hanukah. Since our Holy Days usually do not coincide with American and Christian holidays its easier to get time off from work on our holy days and easier to fulfill customer needs on crucial shopping holidays. On Christmas, New Year and Easter are holidays we are readily available to serve our clientelle. In my opinion its all ups and with no downs. I am okay with those who work under me celebrating there own holidays even if they are not the ones we celebrate.
