The thirty-second reading from the Torah and second-to-last reading from the book of Leviticus is called Behar (בהר), which means “On the Mountain.” The name comes from the first words of the first verse of the reading, which could be literally translated to read, “The LORD then spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai” (Leviticus 25:1). This portion from the Torah introduces the laws of the sabbatical years, the jubilee and laws concerning redemption.

And finally, the last reading from the book of Leviticus is called Bechukotai (בחקותי), which means “In My Statutes.” The name comes from the first verse of the reading, which begins with the words “If you walk in My statutes …” (Leviticus 26:3). This last reading from Leviticus promises blessings and rewards for Israel if they will keep the Torah, but punishment and curses if they break the commandments of the Torah. The last chapter discusses laws pertaining to vows, valuations and tithes.

Media has not often portrayed Jews as tough – but in real life there are many tough living Jews as I recently wrote, and there are also many tough Jewish characters in movies and TV. It’s a list open for debate – but consists of no gangsters, mainstream movies with mass-market appeal, and is written by a PR agency owner, not a Rabbi.

In no particular order, a list of the top 10 Tough Jews in Movie & TV:

• Tuvia, Zus and Asael Bielski in Defiance – one of the greatest Jewish movies ever these are three Jewish warrior brothers who fought the Nazis – tough but decent good real life (and on screen) heroes.
• Ari Ben-Canaan in Exodus: The heroic underground commander who outwits the British to bring Jewish immigrants into postwar Palestine. (Fittingly, the actor Paul Newman who portrayed Ben-Canaan self-identified as Jewish, "because it’s more of a challenge”.)
• Avner in Munich: Avner and the other Mossad agents were strong Jews who let terrorists understand that Jewish blood is not cheap. In the comedy movie "Knocked Up", a few Jewish characters discuss how great it was to watch tough Jews beating people up, killing them and taking revenge – I agree.
• The Bear Jew in Inglorious Bastards: The bat-wielding Sgt. Dony Donowitz, a.k.a. "The Bear Jew," played by Eli Roth in Quentin Tarantino’s movie about American Jewish soldiers in the immediate aftermath of World War Two depicted a Jewish soldier who beat Nazis to death with a baseball bat.
• Richie Roberts in American Gangster: Russell Crowe plays a detective who wears a star-of-David – and tracks down a drug lord stopping at nothing to win.
• Zohan Dvir in "Don’t Mess with the Zohan” – Surely the toughest hairdresser ever, this ex-Israeli commando played by Adam Sandler was a kind-hearted fighter with extreme capabilities.
• Walter Sobchak in "The Big Lebowski”: What a character – but an absolute tough Jew who defends the faith. “Three thousand years of beautiful tradition, from Moses to Sandy Koufax—YOU’RE … RIGHT I LIVE IN THE PAST!”
• Taylor Reese in Knockaround Guys: Vin Diesel’s character in the movie has him take off his jacket where he had a huge Star of David tattoo on his arm. He then beat toughest bully in a neighborhood bar to a bloody pulp.
• David Greene in School Ties: Portrayed by Brandon Frasier, Greene is a working class tough kid who wins a football scholarship – he’s handsome, smart and hard-working, and challenges his racist classmates and the school administration.
• Tevye in Fiddler on The Roof: Perhaps the most famous Jewish character in theater or movies, he is indeed a tough man – who manages to keep his family together, knows when to laugh and keeps his faith despite tremendous difficulty. He stands up to the thugs who disrupt his daughter’s wedding and keeps the faith.

There were some close runner-ups, including Charlton Heston as Moses, and multiple Kirk Douglas characters. The quintessential tough Jew, Ze’ev Jabotinsky wrote movies and books all his life – and it’s fitting that today there are movies depicting tough Jewish characters.

Chazak Ve-ematz – Be Strong and Have Courage are words from the Torah – and it’s beautiful to see courageous Jews portrayed on screen as they are in real life. As you watch “The Avengers” think of strong tough Jews – and don’t get distracted by the gorgeous Jewish actress Scarlett Johansson.

Lag B’ Omer (33 days of the Omer) begins Wednesday night. In Jewish communities around the world, this mid-way point of the Omer count will be celebrated with music, dancing, a few hair cuts and roaring bonfires.

Yet, the Chief Rabbis of Israel have issued a statement back in 2008 to the communities in Israel to keep environmental concerns in mind when building bonfires. In Israel, where both lumber and water are scarce commodities, an outbreak of wildfires would be devastating. Thus, the Rabbinate has requested that the utmost care and attention be paid to the blazing bonfires in order to prevent wildfire.

Citing a midrash, the two Chief Rabbis of Israel cautioned Israel with these words,
“When God created Adam He took him and showed him all the trees in the Garden of Eden. God said to him, ‘Look at all My creations, how magnificent they are. All that I have created is for you. Be sure not to destroy my world, because if you do, there is no one who can repair it.”

I find it interesting that these sages refer to the very same passage of Genesis that others sometimes use to support a view of endless expansion and domination over earth’s natural resources.

“Going green” has been increasing in popularity in America. Everything from organic food, to renewable energy, to recycling, to even hybrid SUV’s has become more acceptable to the mainstream public. Caring for the environment is more than just a concern for counter-culture granola heads (no offense to counter-culture granola heads). Even here at First Fruits, we try to do our part, recycling our boxes and trying to throw away as little as possible. We even switched from those horribly messy styro foam peanuts to nice, biodegradable packing paper.

Humanity has been given dominion over the earth. We are obviously entitled to use it to our advantage. Yet this does not entitle us to unchecked exploitation and destruction. As the midrash said, we are the only species that can repair it. The task of caring for the world has been given to us as well.

It is my hope that “going green” is more than just a trend. “Staying green” would be a much better goal. This Lag B’ Omer, do your small part in protecting the Creation God has entrusted to us.

Emor | אמור | “Say ”

The thirty-first reading from the Torah is called Emor (אמור), a title that comes from the first verse of the reading, which says, “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Speak (emor) to the priests, the sons of Aaron …’” (Leviticus 21:1). Emor begins with special laws of sanctity, propriety and purity for the priesthood. Leviticus 23 provides an overview of the biblical calendar, a listing of the LORD’s appointed times.

Tonight we enter Iyyar, the second month of the biblical calendar year. The name “Iyyar” is the Babylonian name of the month. The older biblical (or Canaanite) name of the month is “Ziv,” as in 1 Kings 6:1, “In the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv which is the second month that he began to build the house of the LORD.”
In the land of Israel, Iyyar is the first month of the dry season, but it certainly is not spiritually dry. The month of Iyyar is full of spiritual nourishment for believers.
In the year that Israel left Egypt, they spent the month of Iyyar in the wilderness traveling toward Mount Sinai. It was during the month of Iyyar that they witnessed miracles like the manna and the water from the rock.
On the biblical calendar of appointed times in Leviticus 23, the entire month of Iyyar is dedicated to the mitzvah of counting off the days until Pentecost. The counting of the days (referred to as the counting of the omer) began on the day after the first high Sabbath of Unleavened Bread. The Torah commands us to count off forty-nine days.
On the fiftieth day, we celebrate the feast of Shavuot, also called Pentecost. (Pentecost will be June 9 this year.) In Judaism, Shavuot is regarded as the anniversary of the giving of the Torah.
Therefore, the month of Iyyar represents part of the journey from Passover to Shavuot, the journey from Egypt to Mount Sinai. As we count the omer, we should be on a spiritual journey of preparation, getting ready for the appointed time of Shavuot.
In the year the Master suffered, the apostles went through a spiritual journey during the month of Iyyar–the journey from Yeshua’s resurrection on the first day of the counting of the omer to His ascension on the fortieth day of the counting of the Omer. For forty days the resurrected Messiah appeared in Jerusalem and in the Galilee and to all the apostles. He ate with them, taught them and fellowshipped with them. Those were the most precious days of all. As we count the omer and go through the days of Iyyar, we should concentrate our intentions in prayer and worship to feel the presence of risen Messiah in our midst.
On the 26 of Iyyar, He ascended to the heavenly Tabernacle of his Father (Acts 1:3; Hebrews 9:11). As believers, Iyyar is precious to us because it is the month of the Ascension, the month when the Master ascended to the right hand of the Father. Don’t forget to do something special to celebrate Ascension Day this year with your brothers and sisters in the Master.

Yom Hazikaron / Yom Ha-Atzma’ut

When redemption comes, it will come quickly. All of these years of struggle and hardship will be forgotten in a second as we wonder at the beauty of our salvation.

Yom Hazikaron is observed on the 4th day of the month of Iyar (Wednesday, this year) on the Hebrew calendar, always preceding the next day’s celebrations of Israel Independence Day, Yom Ha-Atzma’ut (Thursday, this year).

Is the modern State of the physical nation of Israel the first spouting of our redemption? In this beautiful prayer, found in the traditional siddur, it links the rebirth of the nation of Israel to the promises in Deuteronomy 30. This English translation is by my colleague Aaron Eby it will be included in the First Fruits of Zion Siddur.

Pray and meditate upon the words of this beautiful prayer over these two important days in Israel. Today, remember the lives lost in the eternal struggle of redemption and celebrate with Israel in seeing the first sprouts of redemption–the modern state of the nation of Israel. 

Our father who is in heaven, rock of Israel and its redeemer, bless the State of Israel, the first sprouting of our redemption. Defend her with the pinion of your devotion, spread over her the shelter of your peace, and send your light and truth to her leaders, officials, and advisors, affirming them with good counsel from you. Strengthen the hands of the defenders of our holy land, grant them salvation, and crown them with a crown of triumph. May you give peace in the land and eternal gladness to its inhabitants.

Please take note of our brothers, the entire house of Israel, in all the lands to which they have been dispersed, and quickly lead them upright to Zion, your city, and to Jerusalem, the dwelling place of your name. As it is written in the Torah of Moses your servant: “If your dispersed ones will be at the ends of the heavens, from there the LORD, your God, will gather you, and from there he will take you. And the LORD, your God, will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and cause you to possess it, and he will grant more goodness and abundance than your fathers.”

Unite our hearts to love and fear your name, and to keep all of the words of your Torah. Quickly send us the son of David, your righteous Messiah, to ransom those who wait for your final salvation.

Appear in the beauty of the brilliance of your strength over all the inhabitants of your world, and let all who have breath say, “The LORD, God of Israel is king, and his kingdom rules over all.” Amen, selah.

Tazria/Metzora | תזריע/מצורע | ”She will conceive/Leper”

The name of the twenty-seventh reading from the Torah is Tazria (תזריע), which means “she conceived.” The name is derived from the words of Leviticus 12:2, where the LORD says to Moses, “When a woman [conceives] and bears a male child …” Leviticus 12 discusses the laws of purification after childbirth. Leviticus 13 introduces the laws for diagnosing and quarantining lepers. 

Also the twenty-eighth reading from the Torah is Metzora (מצורע), a word that means “leper.” The word appears in the second verse of the reading, which says, “This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing” (Leviticus 14:2). Leviticus 14 spells out the complex purification rituals for the cleansing of a leper and a leprous home. Leviticus 15 briefly covers the laws regarding ritual unfitness stemming from bodily emissions. Except in biblical calendar leap years, Metzora is read together with the previous Torah portion, Tazria, on the same Sabbath.

The name of the twenty-seventh reading from the Torah is Tazria (תזריע), which means “she conceived.” The name is derived from the words of Leviticus 12:2, where the LORD says to Moses, “When a woman [conceives] and bears a male child …” Leviticus 12 discusses the laws of purification after childbirth. Leviticus 13 introduces the laws for diagnosing and quarantining lepers.

Also the twenty-eighth reading from the Torah is Metzora (מצורע), a word that means “leper.” The word appears in the second verse of the reading, which says, “This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing” (Leviticus 14:2). Leviticus 14 spells out the complex purification rituals for the cleansing of a leper and a leprous home. Leviticus 15 briefly covers the laws regarding ritual unfitness stemming from bodily emissions. Except in biblical calendar leap years, Metzora is read together with the previous Torah portion, Tazria, on the same Sabbath.

First Fruits of Zion is supporting this activism through one of our strengths–publishing. For years I have wanted to create of book that could capture the history of the hatred behind the holocaust, the pain the Nazis inflicted on the Jewish people, and the involvement of the Christian Church (or lack thereof). I wanted to publish a book that could encourage active on-going remembrance and repentance. This book could be used to spread the word and awaken a Christian–or a whole church–to recognize anti-Semitism, repent, and participate in Holocaust remembrance.

Today I am pleased to announce the publication of Remembrance and Repentance: The Call to Remember and Memorialize the Holocaust, by Holocaust educator and lecturer Daniel Hennessy.

The book exposes the church’s lack of response during the Holocaust and, perhaps even more tragically, the church’s lack of acknowledgement and response after the Holocaust. Daniel Hennessey writes:

It has been said that the wise man is he who knows his limitations. The way of Christianity for the past two thousand years has seemed right to Christians, but not to those who look at it as hypocritical in its failure to act out its fundamental teachings while such an enormous catastrophe occurred in its midst, on its watch, as guardians who had vacated the watchtowers of Europe. Certainly, the way of Christianity has not “seemed right“–not to the Jewish people. In ways that approach the incomprehensible, that seemingly right way has led to death for so many while also plaguing the inner life, hence the witness, of the church before the eyes of the watching world. Will the way that seems right to the church continue to haunt it in this, the twenty-first century, since its theological takeover of the God-ordained Jewish mission to the world, or will a remnant within the body of Christ heed the words of James, brother of Jesus and spiritual leader of the first-century Messianic community in Jerusalem, citing Solomon the Wise while echoing the prophet Isaiah: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble?” (James 4:6 ESV; cf. Isaiah 54:7-8). James goes on to write, “Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” (James 4:8-10 ESV). Is there a remnant within the Christian body of believers who will hear this word and apply it to the church’s downcast, adversarial relationship with the Jewish people? (Remembrance and Repentance, Pg. 82, FFOZ)

So what can you do? What can your church do? Get involved. Get the book and share it.

There is an active remnant that is attempting to reverse the silence. Through the good efforts of March of Remembrance, dozens of prayer walk sites throughout the US and day of remembrance meetings are scheduled for this year’s memorial of the Shoah. This year the March of Remembrance kicks off in Yaphank Long Island, at the old Nazi Youth camp “Camp Sigfried.” What a fitting place to start.

See if there are any March of Remembrance activities in your area. If not, try to put together an event on April 19th to reflect upon the Shoah, pray for the wellbeing of the Jewish people, and seek ways to heal the wrongs of the past. You can also purchase purchase this informative and moving new book in bulk and give it to friends and churches in your area.

Shemini | שמיני | “Eighth “
Shemini is the twenty-sixth reading from the Torah and third reading from the book of Leviticus. The word shemini (שמיני) means “eighth,” and it comes from the first words of Exodus 9:1, which says, “Now it came about on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel” (Leviticus 9:1). The text goes on to describe the events of the eight day after setting up the Tabernacle, a phenomenal worship service followed by a tragic incident. The reading concludes with the biblical dietary laws regarding animals fit for consumption and prohibitions regarding those that are unfit.

The ancient Hebrew language is a dead language the right pronunciation ie the vowel sounds cannot be known but the consonants we know. I know from study Hebrew myself. I don’t subscribe to the “Divine Names” camp however we are one in Messiah. If we observe the festivals of Messiah and His Shabbats and obey His Torah we do good. I know His name and use it with honor. He is referred to as Adonai, Elohim, Kurious, Theos, as well I do not refer to Him as L-rd or G-d. I speak to the G-d of Avraham, Isaac and Jacob and Adonai know’s I’m talking to Him. Not about Him. I do not take Adonai’s name or HaShem (The Name) in Vain. And the Consonants in The Name are Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey there are no U’s in The Name, it’s a V or some translate it a W however its not a U. Its either YeHoVaH, YaHVeH, or YeHoWaH or YaHWeH, from the direct Hebrew Consonants the rest is guestimation. You can’t turn a Consonant into a Vowel sounds its not possible to be yahUah, the Letter is a Vav which some translate as a W sound or most commonly a V. If you take some time to read some of my blogs regarding The Name of Adonai, His Son, the Bible, you will find that I speak of the D’var Adonai or Logos Kurious in His proper context as He is written about in the text. Not as men guess on a dead language. I don’t seek to offend or debate. I’m just letting you know in advance. I’m not trying to stir up a debate or cause you to change your mind.

As for Y’shua, in Matthew 1 it says call him Iesu for “He will save His people” Yeshua means “He saves” or “He is salvation” Yahoshua means “Yah Saves Him.” Y’shua being Adonai is the Savior, and doesn’t need saving, He is Yah. Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad, He is One. Yeshua is the Adonai of the Tanakh that Jews pray to unbeknownst. This is the Emmaus Road Revelation, that Yeshua is who Moshe, The Torah and Prophets all talk about Him and none other. If one wants to be biblical you would only use Consonants since there original had no vowels it would only be YHVH (Ha’Av, Avinu Shebashamayim, The Father), or YSH (Ha’Ben, The Son, Yeshua). because the rest are vowels sounds, piercings or dagesh which was added latter after return from captivity at the order of a Greco-Persian ruler the LXX is a tainted Texted because its in Greek and was called for by a Persian ruler. Its flawed like the King James Bible. It has a slant it’s a revision not a translation. That is why the Rabbi’s say to Translate is to lie. One must learn the original language to know for themselves. I hope to help you understand that point. We all must learn Hebrew for ourselves from an accredited source of learning that teaches ancient Hebrew and modern spoken Hebrew. They are not the same.

As far as the paganization of the Church, its pagan as they get that’s part of my mission to expose the Pagan Influences of Sunday worship, X-mass, Astarte, and other practices that come from the ancient Mithras or Zoroastrian cult and from Platonist religion of Greece and Rome. Study of the Hebraic-Jewish Roots of Christianity as a “Judaism” pre-advent of the Roman Byzantine Orthodox (Catholic-Universal) Church is crucial. Studying Middle Judaism, Second Temple Judaism, the ancient Messianic movement, under the Netzerim, also they we associated with the Essene’s, the Qum’ran and Ebonite’s. They observed the Festivals of Messiah, the annual cycles of Adonai, remained a form of Judaism albeit Messianic Judaism not Rabbinic or Pharasaic Judaism. They definitely were not a Karaism or Karaite Judaism. Jewish is your national identity being born a Jew is dissent. Judaism is the Religion of the Tanakh-Torah. Jewish Identity is national and by birth, Gentiles can assimilate into the nation of Israel and become Jews according to Torah however Judaism the Religion has many branches Ashchenazi, Sephardic, Yiddish, Chabad, Labavitcher, Conservative, Orthodox, Reform, Rabbinic, Universal, Chassidic, and Messianic (which is rather new-young and full of Christian’s who want only to evangelize Jews and don’t live an authentic Jewish life at times, I’m referring to some not the whole).

As for coming out of the occult dealing with spirit roots to dis-ease and deliverance and break bondages I do know a lot about that. I was raised in a cult, the Jehovah’s Witnesses so I had to have my brain unwashed from their brain washing and both of my parents dabbled in the occult and had affairs with Warlocks and Wiccans (a leaders of a sex cult). I have witnessed to Satanist and Wiccan’s personally. I have been delivered from a lot my grand father was a Knight of Columbus, a branch of the Knights of Christ aka Knights Templar, also known to Protestants as Freemasons, all branches of the same ancient pagan mystical cabal of witchcraft and Gnosticism another thing I constantly deal with and challenge.  I do use His name in Prayer to Him. I pray to the Father in the name of the Son with the aide of the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. I do not say Jesus or Yeshua, I speak to Abba our Father in heaven, as Yeshua taught. Some spell Yeshua, Yashua, that doesn’t bother me as the Consonants are correct, the vowels are debatable so I refuse to choose sides on something scripture and time has lost. I’ve had these debates with Rabbi’s and Messianics so trust me there are many positions. All have some merit but in the end I go with what’s in the actual text.

The sacred name movement seeks to go past the text and say they know what is not knowable. I can not do that since I’ve left many cults and groups like that. I stick with the script, aka scriptures and that’s it at the end of the day.  My wife brought to my attention, because I speak to here often, that I should inform my readers my stance on the Sacred Name movement just as an FYI. Other than that I’m against Pagan Christianity left that years ago and seek to expose that problem. I constantly deal with the impact of the Order of the Golden Dawn, the Freemasons, or Illuminati and others. So as to dealing with Spiritual Roots to bondage and freedom we are one. As to knowing Adonai we are one. As to getting to where Adonai wants us we should be in accord. Leave that which is debatable out.

Is it possible that the annual recitation of Ezekiel 37:1-14 is yet another footprint the early believers left behind in Jewish tradition? Perhaps they adopted the dry bones passage for Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed Pesach to honor the Master’s resurrection and the custom spread into broader Judaism.
The Hebrew term “Chol HaMo’ed (חול המועד)” refers to the intermediate, non-holy days of a biblical festival. Only the festival of Unleavened Bread and the festival of Sukkot contain such days. The feast of Unleavened Bread is a seven day festival. The Torah designates the first day and the seventh day as days of holy convocation on which work is prohibited. The intervening five days are chol HaMo’ed, intermediate days. They are not festival Sabbaths or holy convocations, but they are still part of the festival.

The term chol HaMo’ed (חול המועד) means “non-sacred [days] of the appointed time.” The intermediate days are “non-sacred” only when contrasted against the days of holy convocation on which work is prohibited. Intermediate festival days still retain the sanctity of the festival season and the special commandments of the festival. For example, the Torah forbids leaven through all seven days of Passover, and it requires the native-born Israelite to live in a sukkah for all seven days of the festival of Sukkot. Nevertheless, the intermediate days of those festivals are less sacred than the days of holy convocation because the Torah permits us to work on them.

Outside of the land of Israel, traditional Judaism doubles the festival Sabbaths—a vestige from an era of calendar uncertainties. The doubling of the holy days reduces the number of intermediate days by one. Many Messianic believers, however, do not follow the Diaspora custom of doubling holy days.

A regular seventh-day (Saturday) Sabbath that falls on a day of chol HaMo’ed is called Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed. Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed is not really chol (non-sacred); instead, the holiness of the Sabbath sanctifies it. We regard it as non-sacred only in respect to the appointed time, but the holiness of the weekly Sabbath is greater than the holiness of the festivals.

For Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed Pesach, the sages assigned the Torah portion of Exodus 33:12-34:26. The Maftir is Numbers 28:19-25, and the haftarah is Ezekiel’s vision of the dry bones:

“On the Sabbath which falls in the intermediate days of the festival [of Passover], the passage we read from the Torah [is the one that begins in Exodus 33:12], “See, You say to me …” and the haftarah is the “dry bones.” (b.Megillah 31a)

In addition, synagogue custom includes a public reading of Solomon’s Song of Songs on Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed.

In the haftarah portion, Ezekiel describes his vision of a valley filled with dry bones. The LORD asks him if the bones can live again? Ezekiel does not know. The LORD tells him to prophesy to the bones and to the wind, telling the bones to grow bodies and the wind to return breath to the bodies. Ezekiel does, and the bones come back to life. The LORD tells Ezekiel that, in the future, He will unlock the graves of His people and bring them back to life and return them to the land of Israel. Then they will know that God is the LORD.

Why did the sages assign Ezekiel’s vision of the dry bones for Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed? Rashi cites a rabbinic folk tale about a failed exodus from Egypt that the tribe of Ephraim attempted thirty years before Moses returned from Midian. All the Ephraimites that tried to leave Egypt early died in the attempt, and the valley of dry bones that Ezekiel saw was a repository of their remains. On some occasions, the sages did choose haftarah portions on the basis of folk tale and legendary associations. Another rabbinic opinion cites a tradition that the resurrection of the dead will take place in the month of Nisan. Therefore, the synagogue reads the classic resurrection text as a rehearsal for the event.

From an apostolic perspective, the reading cannot be separated from the historical recollection of our Master’s resurrection. Depending on how one reckons the chronology of Yeshua’s passion week, the Saturday after his crucifixion coincided with either the first day of Unleavened Bread or Shabbat Chol HaMo’ed. In either case, the first Sabbath to fall within the seven days of Unleavened Bread is the anniversary of our Master’s sojourn in the grave. According to Matthew 28:1, He rose from the grave that Saturday night, as the Sabbath concluded and the first day of the week began.

The Keynote speech Friday night that opened the MJAA SW Regional Conference asked “Are we entering the time of Jacob’s trouble?” The topic was more or less are we entering the time of great tribulation. It was a passionate plea.

“When that time comes, Mikha’el, the great prince who champions your people, will stand up; and there will be a time of distress unparalleled between the time they became a nation and that moment. At that time, your people will be delivered, everyone whose name is found written in the book. Many of those sleeping in the dust of the earth will awaken, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and abhorrence. But those who can discern will shine like the brightness of heaven’s dome, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever,” (Daniel 12:1-3).

The focus was on being ready and that even if we do not know the day or the hour being prepared so that at that time we may be delivered.

“For there will be trouble then worse than there has ever been from the beginning of the world until now, and there will be nothing like it again! Indeed, if the length of this time had not been limited, no one would survive; but for the sake of those who have been chosen, its length will be limited,” (Matthew 24:21-22).

Very reminiscent of many Pentecostal pleas and cries for the Rapture or catching away of the saints. The Focus was on our deliverance and salvation from the time of Trouble. That in this time of trouble and that we should be hopeful.

“’and I will pour out on the house of David and on those living in Yerushalayim a spirit of grace and prayer; and they will look to me, whom they pierced.” They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only son; they will be in bitterness on his behalf like the bitterness for a firstborn son.,” (Zechariah 12:10).

They will look to the one they have pierced and mourn. There are many prophecies of Messiah in the Tanakh. Yeshua said The Torah, Moshe and Prophets speak of Him and if we believe the Torah, Moshe and the Prophets then we would believe Messiah. It is important that we show people in the Tanakh that Yeshua is the Messiah prophesied about. Read Isaiah 53 and see if you can come to any other conclusion.

Who believes our report? To whom is the arm of ADONAI revealed?

For before him he grew up like a young plant,

like a root out of dry ground.

He was not well-formed or especially handsome;

we saw him, but his appearance did not attract us.

People despised and avoided him,

a man of pains,

well acquainted with illness.

Like someone from whom people turn their faces,

he was despised;

we did not value him.

In fact, it was our diseases he bore,

our pains from which he suffered;

yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God.

But he was wounded because of our crimes,

crushed because of our sins;

the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him,

and by his bruises we are healed.

We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way;

yet ADONAI laid on him the guilt of all of us. Or:

and in fellowship with him Though mistreated,

he was submissive – he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, he did not open his mouth.

After forcible arrest and sentencing, he was taken away;

and none of his generation protested his being cut off from the land of the living for the crimes of my people,

who deserved the punishment themselves.

He was given a grave among the wicked;

in his death he was with a rich man.

Although he had done no violence and had said nothing deceptive,

yet it pleased ADONAI to crush him with illness,

to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering.

If he does, he will see his offspring; and he will prolong his days;

and at his hand ADONAI’s desire will be accomplished.

After this ordeal, he will see satisfaction.

“By his knowing [pain and sacrifice],

my righteous servant makes many righteous;

it is for their sins that he suffers.

Therefore I will assign him a share with the great,

he will divide the spoil with the mighty,

for having exposed himself to death and being counted among the sinners,

while actually bearing the sin of many and interceding for the offenders.” (Isaiah 53).

There is no way you can deny this is about Yeshua. This is why this portion is left out of the Annual Torah Portion and Parasha reading. Its obvious this is about Yeshua and that He fulfilled this. We must point the Jewish people to Yeshua as Mashiach and become apart of the Restoration of Israel and the Hebrew-Messianic Foundation of Christianity. The time is now to pray for the Revival of Israel and the Restoration of the Jewish foundations of Christianity.

Mapquest gives the best driving direction. DrumKit is a fun drum app for those who like to play around with the drum pads.

Google Sky Map is a cool app for those who look at the stars at night and want to be able to find the constellations they see as well as name them. “Google Sky Map turns your Android-powered mobile phone into a window on the night sky.”

Amazon MP3 for those who use Amazon for their MP3 needs. “Find, buy, and play the music you love, wherever you are, with the Amazon MP3 app for Android. Search or browse the millions of songs available, or download the Free Song of the Day and Daily Deal. Whatever you choose, you can always start listening to your purchases right away, right from your phone.”

Google Android Market has over 200,000 Apps, with a wide range of choices from free to paid. Over 57% of all Android App’s are free which is considerably more than Apple which only has 28% free and BlackBerry which has 26% free.

The world famous Twitter is a necessary app for all your micro-blogging and status update needs. I was using Twidroid until Twitter shut them out. So its back to the official Twitter app. “Twitter for Android is one of the fastest growing Twitter applications. Six months ago, it wasn’t among the top 10 most-used Twitter applications. However, in the last two months, usage has doubled, and now it’s among the top five – along with twitter.com, m.twitter.com (our mobile web site), Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Blackberry.”

Facebook is a fun and now famous way off connecting with friends and family on “The Social Network.” Start connecting with friends, family, fans and business contacts today with Facebook for Android.

Adobe Reader is wonderful for all your PDF reading needs. “Adobe Reader for Android offers multi-touch gestures, like pinch-and-zoom, as well as double-tap-zoom, flick-scrolling and panning. We’ve also added a “reflow” mode, which will take text-heavy documents with wide margins, and automatically wrap the content for easy viewing on smaller screens.”

Amazon Kindle eReader / eBook app. “Kindle for Android is a free application that lets you read Kindle books on your Android–no Kindle required.”

Google Reader is a good RSS Reader. I wish that ViiGo was available for Android since that’s my favorite on Blackberry however I have to settle for Google Reader which is a good RSS Reader so that I can stay up with all the website that I follow via their RSS feed and not have to surf the web to find the news. The news I want when and where I want it.

Gmail is a useful email app for those with a Gmail account.

Terminal Emulator which is essential for Rooting your device. “This application lets you access your Android’s built-in Linux command line shell. It emulates a Digital Equipment Corporation VT-100 terminal. You can use this application to run utility programs on your device.”

You need to read the article again. I stated that he started the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of which the JW’s are an off shoot of and they own and control the Watchtower Tract and Bible Society that is his creation. There are Russelites and JWs who split of. The JWs is a branch of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. The connection is the the WBTS which is maintained by the JWs. As much as JWs want to say Russel didn’t found the JWs the JWs is founded on Russel and Rutherford additional teachings. Gods Plan for Man is a foundation for JWs thats Russell body of work. They want to say hes not the founder of the movement period, the WTBS is still controlled and maintained by the JWs that is Russel’s organization. JWs false propaganda trying to confuse people and lie doesn’t work. I was raised JW. I know the truth and have been set free from the JWs lies. I know the true history of Russel, his trials, Rutherford and his changes and giving the new name JWs but it was the  same organization they had to distance themselves from Russels trials.

According to Scripture Adonai is Echad Plural Unity as in “and two shall become one-Echad.” Yeshua said I and the Father are “one.” He said “if you seen me you’ve seen the Father.” Isaiah 9:6 calls Yeshua “Elohim,… and Father.” Also John 1:1 calls him Theos not “a” but Theos. Check your Greek Diaglot the purple people eater. In John 20:28, Thomas said “Ha’Kurious and Ha’Theos,” which translate The Adonai of me and The Elohim of me. In Hebrew Chapter one it refers to two passage in which Avinu Shebashamaim Eloheinu refers to Yeshua as Adonai (Kurious) and Elohim (Theos). Yeshua is the Son so He submits to the Father. The Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) proceeds from both the Father and the Son. There are seven manifold manifestations of The Holy Spirits, the Ruach Ha’Kodesh in the Tanakh and Revelation. There are Fruits and Gifts of the Spirit. Adonai is multifaceted. He is a complex Unity, One in Echad as Diety, seperate as to personality. The Ruach is referred to in the masculine as “He,” He speaks, He manifests in physical form. Genesis 19:23 says Adonai HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) rained fired from HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) Elohim in heaven. Isaiah refers to this passage says as “Elohim rained fire from heaven Adonai HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey)” requested. Isaiah 46 says HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) and His Redeemer Adonai HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey).” Again it said “That you are my witnesses” and “that you may know that I Am (Ego Eimi in the LXX) the servant I have chosen.” Yeshua was put death on a torture stake and hell couldn’t hold Him He raised from the dead because only Elohim can do that. Yeshua is the Adonai HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) of the Tanakh and the Father is HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) Elohim, no one has seen HASHEM Elohim at any time but Adonai HASHEM has been seen many times. “And the D’var (word) of Adonai came unto them and spoke” to them many times is referring to Yeshua, Ha’Logos who spoke the world into existence and upholds the word through the power of His D’var (Logos). Yeshua is seen many times as Adonai Yeshua and the Angel of Adonai in the Tanakh.

Yeshua is the Alpha and Omega, the Alef and Tav. Yeshua showed submission to His father but found equality with Elohim not a problem. Adonai and Elohim are plural terms form god(s). If you study the Hebrew and Greek for yourself these things are easy to see. Yeshua is Adonai, there is one L-rd, Yeshua, and there is one G-d, Elohim, Abba, Avinu Shebashamiam, The Father in Heaven. Adonai is multifaceted. The G-dhead is immutable and unchangeable. We pray to Abba, the Father through Ha’Ben, the Son, in Yehua’s Name, with the aid and comfort of the Ruach HaKodesh. Its obvious. Yeshua is called G-d in Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1; John 20:26; Hebrews 1. If there is one true G-d-Elohim then he’s either a true or false g-d if Yeshua is a false g-d then he’s a false Messiah and you follow a liar who is a false prophet. But this is untrue Yeshua is Adonai (Kurious) and Elohim (Theos). John 8 clearly shows Yeshua as the great I Am (Ego Eimi) the greek translation for HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey). If you look in the Greek Septuagint HASHEM (Yod Hey Vav Hey) is translated Ego Eimi. Yeshua is the Adonai of the Tankah and Elohim is the Abba of the Tanakh and the Ruach is a personal spirit, Elohim is Spirit, not a force like start trek. Too many trekkies. The Holy spirit can be grieved which is an emotional response, can speak, and can take bodily form.

FYI Russel only took half a semester of bible school quit because he refused to listen to sound teacher. Then he connected with the 2nd Adventist, Church of God and early 7th day Adventist and started on a dark path of false prophecy. Charles Russel and Rutherford are both family members of Masonic family bloodlines, the Russell’s, Rutherford, Rothschild, Rockerfellers, are all Masonikc-Rosicrucian bloodlines they along with Mason bedfellow Joseph Smith and the Mormons are expression of Masonic religion desquised as Xian when their a cult, use brainwashing, child labor (i know from experience, i was used as a minor to work), and violate human rights and safety. They have changed there positions made false prophecies making themselves false prophets. The JWs where started by Russell’s Watchtower Bible and Tract Society with they still own to this day and modified and changed by Judge Rutherford.

The disgruntled Russelites who left the WBTS when Judge Rutherford changed the name and added new doctrines “thousands living shall never die it” (falsely claiming Gentiles somehow become the 144,000 saved Jews of the tribulation period) did change but the WBTS remains a JW entitity. The leaders claim to speak to fallen angels for revelation, not Yeshua, not Abba, not Ruach, but angels just like Joseph smith and other false religions. We talk to Avinu Elohim HaShem in Adonai HaBen Yeshua’s name. Not to false representatives desquised as angels of light.

Lets not get caught in Semantics anf focus on scriptural truth.

Jewish evangelism is essential to the last days revival and end times revival and raising up the 144,000 Jewish witnesses who will proclaim Messiah during the Tribulation.

Since the last revival was predicated on a Messianic foundation and involvement I personally feel the next great revival will be Messianic and I want to take part in ushering that in. If you study the Brownsville Assembly of God, Pensacola Outpouring, it was founded on Dick Reuben’s teaching on the Priesthood, the Tabernacle, the Trespass Offering and Altar of Incense. Their bible school was led by Michael Brown another Messianic Jew. Pastor Kilpatrick credits Dick Reuben’s teaching for laying the foundation for the revival. Its my passion and desire that the next revival is going to be completely Messianic ushering in a new wave of Jews and Gentiles.

I believe in the holiday cycle of Messiah central to Messianic, Jewish life and End Time Prophecy is the calendar of Adonai and the more who come to know and take part the better. My passion is to reach and teach as many as possible in the new and current generations about Messiah.

I believe that the destructive damage done to the Jewish foundation of the Church done by Constantinism through Roman Byzantine Orthodoxy (Catholicism), through Coptic’s and Protestants who have continued practices of Supersessionism and false replacement theology that has led to the Crusades and forcing Jews to reject their Jewish identity has created a new wall of apprehension that needs to be repaired. We are called to be ministers of reconciliation not division. I believe in teaching the Hebraic Foundation of the Church and to help usher in the “Restoration of All Things” prophesied to happen before Mashiachs’ return. I want to be a part of that number.

I want to help Christians embrace the Hebraic Roots, plant Messianic Congregations and minister healing to the Jewish people for the centuries of hurt that has created a new wall of division making Jews fearful of our Messiah because what has been done in His name.

I want to help Jews come to Experience the Emmaus Road Revelation that Moshe, the Torah and Prophets all point to Mashiach. And that Yeshua is the Adonai they seek and the Messiah they desire. Years of persecution by Christians have blinded them to the truth in Messiah.

I believe in the full gospel and the healing of the whole person mind, body and soul. I seek to minister relationally and relevantly. I am passionate and tend to get people excited and passionate.

A Memorial

Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance. (Exodus 12:14)

We are instructed to keep the first day of Unleavened Bread as a “memorial” of the exodus from Egypt. It is one of God‘s reminders. God rescued Israel from Egypt and told her people to keep the festival as a remembrance of their salvation from bondage and slavery. But it was more than just a remembrance. It was also a rehearsal for something wonderful to come, an appointed time on God’s calendar.

Fourteen hundred years after the exodus from Egypt, Yeshua went to Jerusalem with His disciples to keep the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. He always kept the Father’s appointed times. He and His disciples had been to Jerusalem to keep the Passover many times before this occasion. But this time was different. As they neared Jerusalem, Yeshua said, “My time is near; I am to keep the Passover.” (Matthew 26:18) The appointed time was going to be fulfilled in a marvelous and unexpected way.

In Jerusalem, He kept the seder meal with His disciples. He took the unleavened bread and the customary Passover cup and instructed His disciples to do so henceforth in remembrance of Him. According to John’s chronology, on the day of the slaughter of the Passover lambs, He became the Passover Lamb. At the time when Israel slaughtered their Passover lambs in remembrance of their great salvation from Egypt, Yeshua was crucified, and His blood was applied as a mark of salvation on all who would believe in Him. Therefore, when believers keep Passover, we have two things to remember. We remember the historic salvation from Egypt as the Torah commands us. But we also remember the salvation granted us through the sacrifice of Yeshua. The two remembrances are not mutually exclusive. They naturally complement one another.

Every year we keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in remembrance of Yeshua. After all, Messiah Himself told us to keep the festival in remembrance of Him:

And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” (Luke 22:19)

Was it just breaking bread and drinking the fruit of the vine that He had in mind? No. There was a specific context, and the context was Passover. In Luke He said, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover (pesach) with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 22:15-16)

The commandment to do “this” in remembrance of Yeshua is not a commandment just to take a cup and some bread. The specific “this” to which Yeshua referred was the Passover seder meal. It is not one cup but the traditional cups of Passover. It is not any bread; it is the unleavened matzah bread of Passover. What could be more appropriate for a disciple of Yeshua to do than to keep the festival of Passover in remembrance of Him, just as He told His disciples?

As believers keeping the Passover, we can use the annual remembrance of our Savior’s suffering as a time to renew our lives in Him. Have a happy, kosher Passover!

Life is ministry everyone who accepts Messiah is called to Ministry maybe not Rabbi, Pastoral or Fivefold but to minister. I wrote a book on Church Planting while attending Southwestern Assembly of God University studying Church Planting and Revitalization. I feel called to plant Messianic Congregationa and help ushering in more Gentiles into the movement. I’ve been offered licensing by the General Council of the AG based on my schooling through SAGU and prior ministry involvement. I’m a self learner and motivator but I need a solid Messianic Jewish education. I want to partner with ministries participate in the Restoration of Israel, the ushering in of the next Revival, which will be Messianic and bring a new waves of Jews and Gentiles to the movement.

I believe in organic Congregation Planting. I believe with partnering with sponsoring ministries and congregations to help establish a fresh pioneering work. I’m called to an Apostolic-Prophetic mission of Church Planting and Revitalization.

As a professional writer and Christian (Messianic) Rapper I’m afforded a large audience that already follows me and listens to me. I’ve been building a fan-ministry base and teaching them the Hebrew Roots of Christianity, along with the Festivals of Messiah. I’ve been producing free eBooks which have had over 11,000 views, I have a website and blog that get over 10,000 views a month. Last year I reached over 150,000 views. I give away a lot of free content.

I have been too a few Blog World & New Media Expo’s as a reporter so I’ve learned a lot about social media and using it to create a tribe-clan basically fans and supporters who are invested in your ministry and advocates for what your presenting.

I have a podcast and a video blog. I’m using the tools of social media to keep my friends, family and fans engaged in this transition I’ve made from Pentecostal to Messianic. I effectively use new media to reach pastor friends in the AG and to minister to Messianic, Christians and Christian Rappers. The key to social media is giving away 95% free and charging for premium content, books and webinars.

I believe in the vital role of Church Planting and preparing for the next great revival which will be Messianic, ushering in Jews and Gentiles to the kingdom.

Geraldine Eunice Giehl, 86, of Des Moines, died March 22, 2012 at her home.

She was born January 13, 1926 in Perry, Iowa to Clarence and Minnie (Mills) Dietrich. She married Francis Giehl on October 1, 1949 in Des Moines. Together they raised seven children.

Geraldine was a homemaker. She loved quilting, and made quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. An active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 63 years, she was a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. She also volunteered her time over many years for the Polk County Democrats, the Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC) of Des Moines, and the Mercy Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francis and three of their children, Charlie, Maureen and Andy. She is survived by a daughter, Rose Ellen Bloom of Richmond, California; sons, Paul, West Burlington; Greg, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; and Dennis, Des Moines; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 1, at Iles Funeral Home, Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue from 3:00-5:00 PM, with a rosary to follow at 5:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, April 2, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Des Moines with Msgr. Robert Chamberlain presiding. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Link Associates (formerly the Association for Retarded Citizens) of Des Moines.

Once I got saved I immediately started attending Family Fellowship Assembly and got baptized in water. The Church was having a Revival after they leadership went to Pensacola Florida to the Brownsville Revival and came back and repented to the congregation. I also started reading about the gifts of the Ruach and praying for them. We were having services til near midnight and late into the afternoon. I became janitor at the Church and had to start praying and hour a day before church based on Larry Lea‘s book Could You Not Tarry An Hour using Adonai Yeshuas’ Prayer as a pattern to pray an hour as all staff members were required. Not knowing Yeshuas’ prayer was based on the Amidah, standing prayer of Judaism, I developed a habit praying and hour or more using Adonai’s Prayer as a pattern. I felt a call to ministry; my pastor wanted me to go to the school he went to Southwestern Assemblies of God University so we flew out for campus days. I got prayed for and baptized in the Ruach HaKodesh and received my own prayer language.

I went on a short term AIMS mission trip to Mexico in the summer of 1997 we saw the crippled healed and many people saved. I preached at a strong revival we prayed for a lot of people many were filled with the Ruach, some were slain in the Ruach and two drug dealers gave their life to Mashiach. I ended up going to SAGU in 1997 to 1998 to study Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting and Revitalization. I worked with the student ministry coordinator and lead an effort of SAGU students who went to a Major Revival conference in Dallas were Paul Wilbur was one of the worship leaders. I lead the ushers and catchers from our school that went to help out and participate. I also went to an Awake America Crusade from Brownsville in Houston, TX that year. Michael Brown and Steven Hill came and ministered at SAGU during Chapel Days. During my time at SAGU I was involved in Trinity Church of The Assemblies of God in Cedar Hills, TX. I was involved in the youth ministry, doing evangelism and follow up ministry. I was also involved in Street Evangelism and outreaches to Deep Ellum and the West End areas of Dallas from SAGU.

While at SAGU I read Ed Chumney’s Seven Festivals of Messiah and attended a Purim festival with Jewish student on Campus. I wrote an article on the paganism of Halloween and another on Should Christians Observe Biblical Festival advocating that they should. I also wrote many sermons that I had preached on missions, to the youth group, apologetics and articles that I did for class on my website Revival Times. The name is taken from the passage “that the times of refreshing from the presence of Adonai,” aka Revival Times. I was blogging before we called it blogging. I wrote my testimony for Carm.org which can be found there today on Jehovah’s Witnesses salvation testimonies.

I couldn’t afford to go SAGU on my own so I had to go back to work for a while. When I came back to FFC in Oceanside I ended up leading the youth group bible study, I lead Friday night street evangelism and was on the prayer ministry team. I also helped design sets for seasonal sets and cantatas; I was singing in the choir, I went through soundboard training and prison ministry training as well. I was working at a Burger King-Popeye’s as an assistant manager. During this time I started making mixtapes of Gospel Rap and passing them out to kids we were ministering to from my old neighborhood. These we actual mixes of Christian rap on Tape, not CD. They were literally mixtapes. Yes I’m a real Mixtape DJ. We got a new youth pastor and helped plan and assist in leading another AIMS Mission Trip to Mexico. I also helped plan and promote a Tri-City wide multi-choice youth back to school rally in which we got the opportunity to minister to some youth from my old hood in serious need. I have also helped build a Church in Mexico as well as helped with some construction at FFC.

In the summer of 99 a friend of mine and I went to the International House of Prayer in Kansas lead by Mike Bickle. I hear messages about the Prophetic and Restoring David’s Tabernacle. I wasn’t positive what that means since I didn’t know that David had a Tabernacle. I know Moshe and Aharon had a Tabernacle and that Solomon built a Temple based on dimensions David gave him. We continued unto visit the Pensacola Outpoint at Brownsville’s Assembly of Elohim I read Pastor Kilpatrick book “When The Heavens Were Brass” who credited Messianic Rabbi Dick Reuben for establishing the foundation for the revival. So I picked up his five part video series on Our Great High Priesthood, The Priesthood of the Believer, The Altar of Incense and Our Passover Lamb. That was a very impactful series for me. I also was checking out the bible school lead by Messianic Jew Dr Michael Brown and picked up a couple of his books.

In 1999 I attended an Orthodox Jewish Yom Kippur service with the entire liturgy, bringing out the torah scroll and cantilation I felt the presence of Adonai and liked how they honored the Word of Adonai. In 1999 Carlos Anacondia came to San Diego for a Revival and Deliverance Crusade, Wesley Campbell and Tommy Tenney where there. I had gone through deliverance ministry training and was on the deliverance prayer team. Wesley Campbell had a book on Praying the Scripture and Tommy Tenney had a 4 tape series on the Tabernacle that he had been preaching at a revival in Texas right before the incident where the pulpit split and they had an extended revival service. Eventually got a Job at Unisys as an Assistant Supervisor before moving back to Texas to try and finish Bible College.

I decided to move to Texas to establish residency so I could get more scholarships and try to finish school. I started working at Drew Pearson Marketing doing Procurement. I was attending Sachse Assembly I ended up leading a Young Adult and also a Young Men’s bible study. I also was in Chi Alpha campus ministry to University of Texas Dallas where I meet and made some good friends with some Africans from Kenya and Ethiopia. I started to have a passion for Africa.

Then 9/11 happened right at the time I was speaking with an itinerant Rabbinic Jewish speaker who was Messianic and lived in Israel about becoming his ministry assistant. I ended up going on an MAPS Missionary trip to Western Europe (Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Holland) for two months. We perform a play that was designed by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association called “The Puzzle.” We performed before hundreds of audiences in Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium and Holland. It was a fun and challenging experience. We got to perform in socialist schools, communist schools, even schools that openly taught and allowed kids to practice witchcraft. I had a dream the night before about a kid trapped in a den of snake reaching out. I felt we we’re there to help the kids who were trying to reach out for help to get out and be saved from what was going on. In Holland I got to visit the Moravian Monetary that the IHOP-KC by Mike Bickle was modeled after. It was a Charismatic Protestant not a Catholic monastery that had prayer services 24/7 for over a hundred years sponsored by the duke. They sent out many Missionaries there. I came back to Sachse AOG.

In October 2002 I started rapping as a Christian Rapper. In December I helped DJ Maj (Toby Mac’s DJ) plan an event as well as getting his show back on the local Christian station 89.7 Power FM. In Jan at 2003 I went back to SAGU for a year but debt was pilling up so I had to pull out. During that time people kept telling me that I should go to Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue and that I sounded like a Messianic. I wasn’t sure what that was I just new the Tanakh was still applicable today albeit Yeshua is our atonement and High Priest after Melki-tzedek however in my opinion the rest is unchanged the law is still the law, sin, right-justness and purity are still the same. Being set-apart does mean becoming one with the Jewish people as a unique people called out of all nations to build One New Man out of two previous. During 2003 I also did a few college campus outreaches as a Christian rapper, I ministered in troubled homes, homeless shelters and block parties. I also performed at The Door Christian Club, Club 36:9, Insomnia Coffee House and The Damascus Road Cable Show Battle of the Bands which I got 2nd place.

After leaving SAGU I founded the DFW Holy Hip Hop Alliance to bring youth pastors, Christian Rappers and youth together to provide safe events that presented with positive alternatives to secular music and society. I lead that from 2003 to 2007 we put on a lot of successful events that brought a lot of people together and minister to a lot of people. I have made mixtapes over the past 12 years under the Dj alias Dj XDC (X-Dark Child) and promoted mixtapes that have been listened to by over 150,000 people through Triple H Mixtapes. I started Triple H Mixtapes to reach the lost with ministry minded mixtapes. I actually started making mix-tapes when they where still actually tapes in the early 90′s. In recent years I’ve promoted free legal mixtapes and promotional album from legitimate artist and labels to help people connect with Christian Hip Hop (Positive Hip Hop with Ruach and Soul that points to Yeshua as Messiah and Savior). From 2003 through 2007 I wrote for and worked with DaSouth (a Christian Rap website), the Texas Holy Hip Hop Achievement Awards and Much Luvv Records. I also got an opportunity to speak at the Gospel Announcers Guild. As a Christian Rapper, Messianic, and Minister I’ve developed a good size following over the years. I recently had a website created because my blogs have received over 150,000 in the last year. I have a good size following on Social Media sites like Twitter, FaceBook, my Website and Blog. I’ve recently started doing a Christian Rap-Messianic Podcast, and a Video Blogs.

During 2003 and 2006 we were members of Covenant Church in Carrollton, TX we we’re apart of the Healing and Deliverance Department. We got connected to the class Kingdom Transformation which introduced me to the teaching of Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way” on the Spiritual Roots to Dis-ease and Health .I lead the bible study when our teacher was absent. I started writing again. I wrote bible study class curriculum as well as marketing and promotional material for labels and artists.

In 2005 my fiancé and I, attended Passover at Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue and we experienced perfect peace for a few months. We started attending regularly and went through membership and became members in 2006. We got married January of 2007, we had a traditional Jewish wedding, I wrote the Siddur (order) of service and the Ketubah I presented to my wife that we have framed. In January 2008 we dedicated our son to Adonai at Baruch HaShem. In 2007 through 2009 I took Graphic Design courses at Brookhaven and received a Certificate in Graphic Design. In 2010 we started going through the Adult B’nei Mitzvah classes because we wanted to make Aliya to the Torah. We learned the Hebrew Alef-Bet and had been learning the Hebrew Prayers. I started leading Family Shabbat service in 2009. In 2010 we did our home family Passover. In 2009 I started professional blogging and writing for magazines from Marriage, to Christian Hip Hop, to mainstream magazines on Messianic topics. In 2008 I helped organize a fundraiser for an orphanage in Zimbabwe and on January, 11, 2011 I released “The Safe Darfur Now Compilation” to raise funds and awareness for the tragedies and recovery in Sudan’s Darfur region.

In 2010 Sondra’s position was being done away with in her company and she either needed to take another job in here company or find another job. I’m originally from California so she accepted a Job in Santa Barbara and we moved here. There wasn’t a Messianic Congregation there. There was a Hebrew Roots bible study in Lompoc we joined, I helped them establish a Shabbat Torah Service Siddur and start following the Parasha schedule as well as helping them get into the Festivals. We took a Sukkoth camping trip as a group, with Sukka, Lulav and prayers. My wife’s job transferred her to Santa Maria there aren’t any Messianic Congregations here. So we’ve been having an Erev Kabalat Shabbat Service and a Shabbat Torah Service. Its been a blessing leading my family and being a shepherd to my family. We have a small place and haven’t opened it to the public yet however if we get a bigger place we plan to.

In 2011 we did a Passover Seder with some friends, have had regular Erev Kabalat Shabbat as a family, a weekly Torah service, we observe the counting of the Omer, Lag B’Omer, Shavuot, Yom Teruah (with Chabad of SLO so we could hear the blowing of the Shofar), Yom Kippur, we took a Sukkoth Camping Trip for all eight days and enjoyed the eight days of Chanukah.

I’ve been invited to Africa a couple times to help train believers in the Hebraic Roots of Christianity and Messianic Liturgy. I haven’t had the finances or enough training in my opinion but there is a desire for Messianic outreach there. I feel called to plant Messianic Congregations and teach Gentiles (like myself) about the Hebraic Foundation of the Original Church. I desire to plant Messianic Congregations that practice an authentic form of Judaism, are focused around community life, life cycle events and festivals.

This all started as a journey for me seeking to experience and authentic form of Judaism as it was practiced at the time of Yeshua by Yeshua and His disciples. I never knew my curiosity would take me so far. It’s been a fun journey. At one Yom Kippur breaking the fast with some friends a couple said when they were Christian they felt half full but when they became Messianic they felt full. I feel that way. I went from a desire of revival meetings to a place of habitation of His presence to seek to Obey His Commands, to fulfill His mitzvoth to seek to be pure, to strive to eat Kosher, to seek, to be a member of the Set-Apart remnant community of those who love the Jewish people and biblical foundations and seek, to make disciples and go out and fulfill the will of Adonai. Am I required too, I don’t believe so. I’ve felt lead and chosen to be Set-Apart unto Adonai’s people. I’ve chosen the life of a convert-proselyte to the best of my ability. I’ve always loved the Tanakh and felt its application in my life. I’ve wanted to avoid X-mass and Easter. I prefer Chanukah and Passover, Sukkoth and Shavuot, along with the other biblical holidays. I find when your focused on doing right you have less time to get caught up in wrong. I sought not only to avoid Halloween, X-mass and Easter but to find Biblical Holidays that we can practice.

In this, the beginning of months (which begins this year on Shabbat), we will have many opportunities for practically living out the words of the Scripture. We will be able to prepare for Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and to begin the counting of the omer. We are also able to recount the time when the Lamb of God was sent to take away the sin of the world.

As stated above, there is so much that could be written about the month of Nisan (a.k.a. Aviv, which literally means ripe and by extension springtime). This D’rash will speak mostly of one aspect of the Passover Seder meal. Specifically, the four "I will" statements that the Holy One made as recorded in Exodus 6:6-7 will be mentioned.

Remember, in the book of Exodus, the children of Israel had cried out to the Holy One because they had become slaves in Egypt. Not only were their freedoms taken from them, but they were being brutally mistreated and abused. This was the normality for the kingdom in which they were in forced servitude.

The account continues to describe that despite the horrid treatment the descendants of Jacob held to a hope in the promise of deliverance. They knew that God would not forsake his promise to the patriarchs. At the appointed time, the Holy One would deliver them. He told Moses to tell Israel the following, which are listed by the corresponding cups in the Seder meal.

First Cup – I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. Second Cup – I will deliver you from slavery to them. Third Cup- I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. Fourth Cup – I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians

Just as the Israelites were in bitter bondage to Egypt and its wicked king, we find ourselves enslaved to a more fiercely cruel tyrant and the world. This makes the redemption even sweeter and more rich. If we look at each of the cups, we can catch the beginning glimpse of what our atonement through Messiah has produced for our eternal lives.

Looking specifically at the fourth cup, we can see that the Holy One has done all to ensure a relationship with His people. To be certain, this is not just a casual relationship, but an intimate relationship as close as a husband and wife (Hosea 2:19-20). As such, the Holy One has called for us to live as called and brought out people.

So as you partake of the Passover Seder this month, may you call to remembrance the deliverances and great calling that Hashem has done on your behalf and may you be blessed in the grace and knowledge of our redemption through Messiah Yeshua, the Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world.

Finally, those in Messiah are blessed to join with John, the beloved, and offer praise "to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen" Revelation 1:5-6.

Vayikra | ויקרא | "He called"

The title “Leviticus” is derived from the Greek Septuagint (LXX) version of the Torah. The book of Leviticus is predominantly concerned with Levitical rituals. An older Hebrew name for the book was “The Laws of the Priesthood,” but in Judaism today, it is referred to by the name Vayikra (ויקרא), which means “And He called.” Vayikra is the first Hebrew word of the book, which begins by saying, “And the LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from inside the tent of meeting” (Leviticus 1:1).

Leviticus describes the sacrificial service and the duties of the priests. It also introduces ritual purity, the biblical diet, the calendar of appointed times, laws of holiness and laws relating to redemption, vows and tithes. In addition, Leviticus discourses on ethical instruction and holiness. The twenty-fourth reading from the Torah is eponymous with the Hebrew name of the book it introduces: Vayikra. This portion introduces the sacrificial service and describes five different types of sacrifices.

Las Vegas, NV, March 12, 2012 – Two Kinds of Color (Createspace) by Deborah Kennedy may be fiction but its characters and events reflect the author’s real life story; growing up black in a racially divided family who were mostly conceived through prostitution when her mother was pimped out by her father. Kennedy has already proven herself to be a compelling writer with a deep sense of compassion and an intensity that adds raw emotion to her amazing story.

Two Kinds of Color is the story of a mother’s love and heroic sacrifice for her racially divided children, two black and two white, raised in a hustler’s brutal environment on Chicago’s south side. In her story, that parallels much of Kennedy’s own life, Freddie Walker is a very beautiful and sensuous woman who begins working as a prostitute at age sixteen for a vain and greedy pimp/businessman. Jimmy Tate is her pimp and his notorious reputation and illegal gaming practices allow him to make all the money he can.

One stormy night Freddie attempts to leave Jimmy and take her children with her. Unfortunately, when he finds out he goes crazy and tries to kill her. When Freddie’s best friend Ruby arrives just in the nick of time, a battle ensues in their dark bedroom that leaves Jimmy dead – resulting in Freddie and Ruby going to prison and the children being separated and sent into foster care.

But what happens when a prostitute like Freddie starts reading the Wall Street Journal and dabbling in the stock market? Does she make a fortune? Did Freddie kill Jimmy, or was it her best friend Ruby? What sacrifices did Freddie make for the sake of her children and what secrets did she keep from them? What will their legacy be and, as adults, will they have the courage to meet each other to find out? These are the questions that keep readers rapidly turning pages to find answers.

Two Kinds of Color is a powerful story that would make an incredible box office smash hit! It sheds light on the underworld of prostitution and focuses on the truth of the pimps that abuse the children caught up in this world. It is a story of best friends, of having faith and belief in God, and of trust and love.

Kennedy’s goal in writing this extraordinary story was to bring hope to women and their children trying to get out of this lifestyle, and to offer encouragement to children of racially divided siblings that no matter what one experiences in life, nothing is more important than family – even if they are two kinds of color…

I’ve had a unique journey finding Adonai. When I was young Adonai spoke to me. When I was eight I woke up one summer and wanted to go to heaven. I asked my mom how and she told me the Jehovah‘s Witness view. I remember praying to know Adonais’ way and pray to know “the truth.” I felt convicted and I prayed to Adonai and said “I want to know Your truth.” By the time I was 12 I had read the New World Translation cover to cover two times. I remember every time I read passages that later I found out they changed that my mind would feel blurry. However when I read Isaiah 9:6 Adonai spoke to me clear as day. I remember asking whose son is this, he’s called “Mighty Elohim,” “eternal Father,” and I heard Adonai say;

“This is my son, and if My Word calls Him G-d then He’s G-d.”

I was like wow surprised and I just believed. As a naive 12 year old I asked my mom how do you say Yeshua is Michael a create being when the Word call Him Elohim and Eternal. I mean eternal means He has no beginning and no end. So my mom went unto telling me that there is a difference between Almighty and Might Elohim, and that Yeshua is “a” Theos and that there is only One True Elohim. She said that ha’Satan is called the “Theos” of this world. And then referred to the rapture passage that says “and He shall descend, with the shout of an.” I didn’t connect their loose dots it still calls Yeshua Elohim and Eternal. I may have not understood that but scripture was more important than loose connections and vague references. I reasserted but if He’s eternal He has no beginning or end, how can y’all say He’s created?

She couldn’t answer me so she took to one of the elders and I knew he would do the whole Might-Almighty Elohim difference. So I decided to focus on the eternal fatherhood of Yeshua I ask how is He Eternal and Father and you say He’s created? The elder skipped past my question and jumped into the same illegitimate Mighty-Almighty Elohim difference. I had a major moment of cognitive dissonance I couldn’t comprehend how they could justify this logic. In the end the elder said your just have to have faith you don’t understand things you just have to accept them. I said yes because I had to respect my elders and though yeah your wrong Yeshua is Elohim and died for my sin but I don’t understand you.

Growing up my father was an irreligious ex-Catholic who was profane and abusive. He was an alcoholic and did drugs. Coupled with in the “Hood” in  I had to suffer gang violence and segregation at school for being a Jehovah’s Witness and White. I got picked on and left out of much. Through it all it made me cry out to Adonai for help. I would go on walks and pray. I felt a sense of calling and drawing. My father had a couple affairs my mom had one to get even with him and got disfellowshipped. So most my high school I was let loose to live as I choose. I helped my mom decide to divorce my mom because he was abusive, an alcoholic, who didn’t love my mom.

My mom told me if I went back to the J.W.’s she would. So about the time I turned 18 I started praying about getting baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness or a Christian. I hadn’t ever really been witnessed to. I do remember that the Power Team came to my High School once and I prayed the prayer of salvation with them. But JWs believe that their Christian and though Yeshuas’ not Elohim to them they still believe He’s savior so their accept Yeshua as savior prayer wasn’t challenging at all. I remember telling a friend I was a Christian and he asked where I went to Church I said the Kingdom Hall and never heard from him again much. The sad thing I was wide open and could have been witnessed to. At one point someone suggested I get a Sixpence or Jars of Clay CD I remember thinking it was ok but I was into Hip Hop listening to Onyx, Wutang, NWA, etcetera… so it didn’t connect with me at the time.

So I continued to pray and study. I would go to the library and study I found most religions from Muslim, to Buddhist, to Hindu all were started by one person and had one text with no authenticated original copies. I found the number of manuscript evidence, the amount of writers and the historical accuracy of the bible found to be true in archeology.  So in my informed opinion the bible was reliable and historical however the JW’s seemed sketchy. I said to myself if the JW’s are true they will hold water up to their own text and be consistent which I found they were, and their many changing end time prophecies. The founder of the Watchtower and Bible Tract society, Charles Taze Russell, who was a freemason who fellowshipped with the Adventist, Church of Elohim and Seventh Day Adventist crews who believed that the Pyramids were examples of the heavenly temple and they pointed to an end time in the 1800′s but that didn’t pan out so they said He (Yeshua) returned invisibly and that 1914 was going to be the end. With there connection to the Russell’s, Rutherford’s, Rockefellers and Rothschild’s its no surprise a world war was started that year. Since Yeshua didn’t return the revised there timeline to 1914 being the end time generation, giving many other end time prophecies that failed to come true. Russell’s father was a Catholic and his mom was a protestant. He attend half a semester and couldn’t understand how an eternal loving Elohim could predestine someone to hell, so he rejected hell, predestination and the Deity of Yeshua. He went on to start his own bible study based on pyramid-ology, an Armenian like rejection of Calvinism, a 7th Day Adventist Rejection of Hell and a rejection of Yeshua as Elohim. Once I learned that at this point I decided to get a Hebrew-Greek Diaglot, “the purple people eater,” as I call it now. I checked the Greek started picking up books to learn Hebrew and Greek alphabets. I looked at John 1:1 in the Interlinear and it was “and the word was Elohim (Theos).” there was no “a” but in the side translation they add an “a” at that point I completely distrusted them. So I left and felt called to the “Christian Church” I wasn’t sure were to go I had never been to a Christian Church. I remember walking by one I thought about going in to talk to the Pastor and I heard Adonai say not this one.

I eventually I started dating a woman who was nominally Christian she invited me to her church. It was an Assemblies of Elohim church; the music was a bit loud! I wasn’t into rock music at that time. So I stepped out during worship. I remember sitting through the sermon and I felt good about the message and felt the Ruach moving on my heart. We ended up joining a small home fellowship that was less noisy I started getting into worship and the word more.

On August 17th, 1996 Waymen Mitchell of The Potters House Fellowship had a revival crusade at the Pier Amphitheatre. I remember my girlfriend talking about going down to the altar. When we got there its on the beach by sand but I could feel Adonai presence and could smell anointing oil strong, I felt Adonai’s presence. So at about 8:30 in the evening going down to the altar to publically profess before others that I accepted Yeshua as Savior, and Adonai. I also got prayed for healing. I had a torn rotator cuff from mixed martial arts fighting. I had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I used to do School anti-Drug, anti-Gang and anti-Violence demonstrations using Martial Arts to wow the crowd. I felt burning in my shoulder when I was prayed for and it was healed.

History of Ministry Involvement
I immediately started to attend Family Fellowship Assembly and got baptized in water. The Church was having a Revival after they leadership went to  to the Brownsville Revival and came back and repented to the congregation. I also started reading about the gifts of the spirit and praying for them. We were having services til near midnight and late into the afternoon. I became janitor at the Church and had to start praying and hour a day before church based on Larry Lea’s book Could You Not Tarry An Hour using Adonai Yeshuas’ Prayer as a pattern to pray an hour as all staff members were required. Not knowing Yeshuas’ prayer was based on the Amidah, standing prayer of Judaism, I developed a habit praying and hour or more using Adonai’s Prayer as a pattern. I felt a call to ministry; my pastor wanted me to go to the school he went to Southwestern Assemblies of Elohim University so we flew out for campus days. I got prayed for and baptized in the Ruach HaKodesh and received my own prayer language.

I went on a short term AIMS mission trip to Mexico in the summer of 1997 we saw the crippled healed and many people saved. I preached at a strong revival we prayed for a lot of people many were filled with the spirit, some were slain in the spirit and two drug dealers gave their life to Mashiach. I ended up going to SAGU in 1997 to 1998 to study Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting and Revitalization. I worked with the student ministry coordinator and lead an effort of SAGU students who went to a Major Revival conference in Dallas were Paul Wilbur was one of the worship leaders. I lead the ushers and catchers from our school that went to help out and participate. I also went to an Awake America Crusade from Brownsville in Houston, TX that year. Michael Brown and Steven Hill came and ministered at SAGU during Chapel Days. During my time at SAGU I was involved in Trinity Church of The Assemblies of Elohim in Cedar Hills, TX. I was involved in the youth ministry, doing evangelism and follow up ministry. I was also involved in Street Evangelism and outreaches to Deep Ellum and the West End areas of Dallas from SAGU.

While at SAGU I read Ed Chumney’s Seven Festivals of Messiah and attended a Purim festival with Jewish student on Campus. I wrote an article on the paganism of Halloween and another on Should Christians Observe Biblical Festival advocating that they should. I also wrote many sermons that I had preached on missions, to the youth group, apologetics and articles that I did for class on my website Revival Times. The name is taken from the passage “that the times of refreshing from the presence of Adonai,” aka Revival Times. I was blogging before we called it blogging. I wrote my testimony for Carm.org which can be found there today on Jehovah’s Witnesses salvation testimonies.

I couldn’t afford to go SAGU on my own so I had to go back to work for a while. When I came back to FFC in Oceanside I ended up leading the youth group bible study, I lead Friday night street evangelism and was on the prayer ministry team. I also helped design sets for seasonal sets and cantatas; I was singing in the choir, I went through soundboard training and prison ministry training as well. I was working at a Burger King-Popeye’s as an assistant manager. During this time I started making mixtapes of Gospel Rap and passing them out to kids we were ministering to from my old neighborhood. These we actual mixes of Christian rap on Tape, not CD. They were literally mixtapes. Yes I’m a real Mixtape DJ. We got a new youth pastor and helped plan and assist in leading another AIMS Mission Trip to Mexico. I also helped plan and promote a Tri-City wide multi-choice youth back to school rally in which we got the opportunity to minister to some youth from my old hood in serious need. I have also helped build a Church in Mexico as well as helped with some construction at FFC.

In the summer of 99 a friend of mine and I went to the International House of Prayer in Kansas lead by Mike Bickle. I heard messages about the Prophetic and Restoring David’s Tabernacle. We continued unto visit the Pensacola Outpoint at Brownsville’s Assembly of Elohim I read Pastor Kilpatrick book “When The Heavens Were Brass” who credited Messianic Rabbi Dick Reuben for establishing the foundation for the revival. So I picked up his five part video series on Our Great High Priesthood, The Priesthood of the Believer, The Altar of Incense and Our Passover Lamb. That was a very impactful series for me. I also was checking out the bible school lead by Messianic Jew Dr Michael Brown and picked up a couple of his books.

In 1999 I attended an Orthodox Jewish Yom Kippur service with the entire liturgy, bringing out the torah scroll and cantilation I felt the presence of Adonai and liked how they honored the Word of Adonai. In 1999 Carlos Anacondia came to San Diego for a Revival and Deliverance Crusade, Wesley Campbell and Tommy Tenney where there. I had gone through deliverance ministry training and was on the deliverance prayer team. Wesley Campbell had a book on Praying the Scripture and Tommy Tenney had a 4 tape series on the Tabernacle that he had been preaching at a revival in Texas right before the incident where the pulpit split and they had an extended revival service. Eventually got a Job at Unisys as an Assistant Supervisor before moving back to Texas to try and finish Bible College.

I decided to move to Texas to establish residency so I could get more scholarships and try to finish school. I started working at Drew Pearson Marketing doing Procurement. I was attending Sachse Assembly I ended up leading a Young Adult and also a Young Men’s bible study. I also was in Chi Alpha campus ministry to University of Texas Dallas where I meet and made some good friends with some Africans from Kenya and Ethiopia. I started to have a passion for Africa.

Then 9/11 happened right at the time I was speaking with an itinerant Rabbinic Jewish speaker who was Messianic and lived in Israel about becoming his ministry assistant. I ended up going on an MAPS Missionary trip to Western Europe (Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Holland) for two months. We perform a play that was designed by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association called “The Puzzle.” We performed before hundreds of audiences in Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium and Holland. It was a fun and challenging experience. We got to perform in socialist schools, communist schools, even schools that openly taught and allowed kids to practice witchcraft. I had a dream the night before about a kid trapped in a den of snake reaching out. I felt we we’re there to help the kids who were trying to reach out for help to get out and be saved from what was going on. In Holland I got to visit the Moravian Monetary that the IHOP-KC by Mike Bickle was modeled after. It was a Charismatic Protestant not a Catholic monastery that had prayer services 24/7 for over a hundred years sponsored by the duke. They sent out many Missionaries there. I came back to Sachse AOG.

In October 2002 I started rapping as a Christian Rapper. In December I helped DJ Maj (Toby Mac’s DJ) plan an event as well as getting his show back on the local Christian station 89.7 Power FM. In Jan at 2003 I went back to SAGU for a year but debt was pilling up so I had to pull out. During that time people kept telling me that I should go to Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue and that I sounded like a Messianic. I wasn’t sure what that was I just new the Tanakh was still applicable today albeit Yeshua is our atonement and High Priest after Melki-tzedek however in my opinion the rest is unchanged the law is still the law, sin, right-justness and purity are still the same. Being set-apart does mean becoming one with the Jewish people as a unique people called out of all nations to build One New Man out of two previous. During 2003 I also did a few college campus outreaches as a Christian rapper, I ministered in troubled homes, homeless shelters and block parties. I also performed at The Door Christian Club, Club 36:9, Insomnia Coffee House and The Damascus Road Cable Show Battle of the Bands which I got 2nd place.

After leaving SAGU I founded the DFW Holy Hip Hop Alliance to bring youth pastors, Christian Rappers and youth together to provide safe events that presented with positive alternatives to secular music and society.  I lead that from 2003 to 2007 we put on a lot of successful events that brought a lot of people together and minister to a lot of people. I have made mixtapes over the past 12 years under the Dj alias Dj XDC (X-Dark Child) and promoted mixtapes that have been listened to by over 150,000 people through Triple H Mixtapes. I started Triple H Mixtapes to reach the lost with ministry minded mixtapes. I actually started making mix-tapes when they where still actually tapes in the early 90′s. In recent years I’ve promoted free legal mixtapes and promotional album from legitimate artist and labels to help people connect with Christian Hip Hop (Positive Hip Hop with Spirit and Soul that points to Yeshua as Messiah and Savior). From 2003 through 2007 I wrote for and worked with DaSouth (a Christian Rap website), the Texas Holy Hip Hop Achievement Awards and Much Luvv Records. I also got an opportunity to speak at the Gospel Announcers Guild. As a Christian Rapper, Messianic, and Minister I’ve developed a good size following over the years. I recently had a website created because my blogs have received over 150,000 in the last year. I have a good size following on Social Media sites like Twitter, FaceBook, my Website and Blog. I’ve recently started doing a Christian Rap-Messianic Podcast, and a Video Blogs.

During 2003 and 2006 we were members of Covenant Church in Carrollton, TX we we’re apart of the Healing and Deliverance Department. We got connected to the class Kingdom Transformation which introduced me to the teaching of Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way” on the Spiritual Roots to Dis-ease and Health .I lead the bible study when our teacher was absent. I started writing again. I wrote bible study class curriculum as well as marketing and promotional material for labels and artists.

In 2005 my fiancé and I, attended Passover at Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue and we experienced perfect peace for a few months. We started attending regularly and went through membership and became members in 2006. We got married January of 2007, we had a traditional Jewish wedding, I wrote the Siddur (order) of service and the Ketubah I presented to my wife that we have framed. In January 2008 we dedicated our son to Adonai at Baruch HaShem. In 2007 through 2009 I took Graphic Design courses at Brookhaven and received a Certificate in Graphic Design. In 2010 we started going through the Adult B’nei Mitzvah classes because we wanted to make Aliya to the Torah. We learned the Hebrew Alef-Bet and had been learning the Hebrew Prayers. I started leading Family Shabbat service in 2009. In 2010 we did our home family Passover. In 2009 I started professional blogging and writing for magazines from Marriage, to Christian Hip Hop, to mainstream magazines on Messianic topics. In 2008 I helped organize a fundraiser for an orphanage in Zimbabwe and on January, 11, 2011 I released “The Safe Darfur Now Compilation” to raise funds and awareness for the tragedies and recovery in Sudan’s Darfur region.

In 2010 Sondra’s position was being done away with in her company and she either needed to take another job in here company or find another job. I’m originally from California so she accepted a Job in Santa Barbara and we moved here. There wasn’t a Messianic Congregation there. There was a Hebrew Roots bible study in Lompoc we joined, I helped them establish a Shabbat Torah Service Siddur and start following the Parasha schedule as well as helping them get into the Festivals. We took a Sukkoth camping trip as a group, with Sukka, Lulav and prayers. My wife’s job transferred her to Santa Maria there aren’t any Messianic Congregations here. So we’ve been having an Erev Kabalat Shabbat Service and a Shabbat Torah Service. Its been a blessing leading my family and being a shepherd to my family. We have a small place and haven’t opened it to the public yet however if we get a bigger place we plan to.

In 2011 we did a Passover Seder with some friends, have had regular Erev Kabalat Shabbat as a family, a weekly Torah service, we observe the counting of the Omer, Lag B’Omer, Shavuot, Yom Teruah (with Chabad of SLO so we could hear the blowing of the Shofar), Yom Kippur, we took a Sukkoth Camping Trip for all eight days and enjoyed the eight days of Chanukah as well as just celebrating Purim. We are preparing for Pesach right now I’m working on writing a Seder. I’ve written a Morning Messianic Shachrit, Afternoon Messianic Mincha, Messianic Mishpacha Kaballat Shabbat Service, a Messianic Torah Service Siddur, a Motzai Shabbat Havdalah Siddur, and a Messianic Rosh Chodesh Litrugy as well as the Ten Basic Bracha for Lighting Holy Day Festival-Moedim Lights. The twenty-second reading from the Torah and the second-to-last reading from the book of Exodus is called Vayakhel (ויקהל), which means “and he assembled.” The name comes from the first words of the first verse of the reading, which could be literally translated to read, “And Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel …” (Exodus 35:1). This portion from the Torah describes how the assembly of Israel worked together to build the Tabernacle. In most years, synagogues read Vayakhel together with the following portion, Pekudei “Accounts,” which is The twenty-third reading from the Torah and last reading from the book of Exodus. The first words of the first verse of the reading could be literally translated to read, “These are the accounts (pekudei) of the Tabernacle” (Exodus 38:21). The last reading from Exodus begins with an audit of how the contributions for the Tabernacle were used. The portion goes on to describe the completion of the Tabernacle and its assembly and concludes by depicting the glory of the LORD entering it. In most years, synagogues read Pekudei together with the previous portion, Vayakhel; therefore, the comments on this week’s reading will be brief.

LOOK OUT-FAVORITE BAR:”YOU EITHER STEPPING WITH US OR BETTER STEP ASIDE” “HE’S THE HEAD AND TAIL, WE DON’T FLIP A COIN” This is a great track to start the album off with. The production is great. The toms and drums are so rhythmic and the hook hypes you up like a pre game show. The bar has been set for the album. This is a REPEAT OFFENDER!

PROBLEM CHILD-FAVORITE BAR:”WHEN IT COMES TO STRENGTH, IT’S MY FAITH THAT I EXERCISE” The production of this track is hot! Lyrically, this is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I wasn’t too familiar with Eric Cross before this project and I’m glad I got to see his style mixed with D-Maub.

KNOW PAIN, KNOW GAIN (FEATURING T-HADDY)-FAVORITE BAR:”YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! THAT’S ALL THAT’S GOING THROUGH MY MIND” This is one of my favorite tracks off of the album. It really motivates you to be better at everything that you do in life. T-haddy does a great job on the hook. This is not only single and video worthy, this has commercial/mainstream appeal all over it. This is a REPEAT OFFENDER!

THE LIGHT (FEATURING  CALANDRA WILLIAMS)-FAVORITE BAR:”WE PLAY THE BACKGROUND, HE GETS THE LIMELIGHT” This track and production has a “pop” feel, but it works for it. Calandra Williams sounds angelic as this track really keeps your head rocking. I love all of the “light” references that Creature Clan use. I could truly see this being a fan favorite as a performance track. The only thing that I dislike about the track, is that as soon as I really get into it…it goes off.

Overall, this was a great project. D-Maub and Eric Cross have great chemistry together. They “alley-oop” to each other through out the whole album. The production is great as well. They picked excellent features throughout the album. they truly show that both artist are together as a team and not trying to outshine each other. This is a great album to show people that christian artist can be lyrical and “spit”. As far as the Creature Clan goes, this is a beautiful “new begining” of something great. Spread The Soup!
